"Fighting for Ireland, one tweet at a time." (SF). Don't PM (Private Message) me. Twitter (X) has screwed up my 'Chat' portal. I can't see nor reply to PM's.

Trump and Israel killed this baby boy today in Iran — dropping a bomb on his home, murdering him and his mother. He was only 20 days old.

@OHanlonEilis We can send home all the imported useless eaters who expect and receive government handouts despite not paying into the system . Then we can get rid of the ridiculous carbon taxes . We will be grand after that .

This week's column: Expecting the government to step in with emergency handouts every time prices go up just makes us all feebly dependent on the State. We need to man up and stop expecting Superman to fly to the rescue.m.independent.ie/opinion/commen…

People need real action - not half measures. Every day FFFGLI delay, workers and families pay the price. Ppl are furious with govt but SF will keep the pressure on to cut taxes on petrol, diesel, and home heating oil and deliver real cost of living support to make life more affordable.

@kennardmatt Why does anywhere have a particular "right to exist"?🤔 Where does that distasteful notion of 'exceptionalism' even come from?🤨 If (another) extinction level asteroid hits Mother Earth, as someday it might, who will guarantee #Israel's "right" to be spared?🤔

I saw this at the Financial Times. British establishment journalists have been indoctrinated—starting young at elite private schools—with the views needed to oversee the propaganda system Many have literally never had an independent thought. What they do is spout received wisdom So when someone probes one of their ideas it falls apart because they’ve learnt it by rote - there has been no conscious processing of information. They believe something, but don’t know why. They’ve just heard some authority say it The top echelons of British journalism industry are, consequently, some of the most unimpressive people on the planet. Anyone capable of independent thought - and critical analysis outside the confines of establishment shibboleths - is filtered out very early

Overnight, diesel up again. Home heating oil up again. And what is Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael’s response? To tell people to wait until next Tuesday for them to hold another meeting! They could cut fuel prices today if they wanted. They could implement what is in Sinn Féin’s legislation. This would ease the pressure on people right now. But they choose not to act. We will keep the pressure up until this do-nothing government does its job! @DavidMonaghanSF

@markhumphrys I neither deny nor confirm. I can't be arsed going down these rabbit-holes. Sean Russell went to Germany to seek help to combat our one and only deadly foe in the 20th Century. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." A fools errand maybe, given the benefit of hindsight.

I have discovered an unbelievable amount of hatred on X for Winston Churchill for fighting and winning WW2. I think the Venn diagram with people who hate Israel is a perfect circle.

@Seantoir @Reunify32 I do remember Lyra McKee,(RIP), and the despicable attack on the PSNI Inspector. Not the work of an organised, controlling Republican militia, imo. The first was a young lad loosing off unaimed shots in the general direction of the PSNI, and the 2nd was a cowardly shoot n'scoot .

Remember Lyra McKee? Or the more fortunate Chief Inspector John Caldwell? Situational flashpoints—mainly in parts of Belfast, Derry, Ballymena, Carrickfergus, Larne, Portadown, and Newtownabbey—where disorder, paramilitary gang influence, or community hostility can rapidly escalate will be the main focus of new Troubles in the even of unification. We are NOT ready, and it is hopelessly irresponsible to gift the Irish government any impression that we might be. They do not take policing, internal security or defence seriously and will not prepare for the inevitable. What price in the lives, maimings, woundings and trauma of innocent citizens, Gardaí and Service members is unification worth to you? Because it will not be Zero unless we are adequately prepared.

🚨 Joe Kent says Ali Larijani was negotiating peace and was killed. Qatar’s gas could have stabilized energy markets — it was hit too. He says Tel Aviv doesn’t want peace, it wants permanent war, and America is the weapon.

Massive revelation. Israel intentionally assassinated Iranian negotiator Ali Larijani to sabotage a peace deal. Then they blew up Qatar's natural gas facilities to lock the US into a permanent regional war. They are destroying the world.

@Seantoir @Reunify32 I can't speak for Loyalist areas, other than they look very run down. Republican or Nationalist areas I do know a bit about. Where exactly are these "Republican" gangs you speak of, and what parts of Derry or Belfast do they control?🤔

And yet "Loyalist" and "Republican" gangs rule the roost in parts of Belfast and Derry. An Garda Siochána is already 4,000 below ideal strength if one uses the European average of police per 100,000 population as a yardstick, and mostly unarmed. To police a combined population of 7.4 million, and deal with those gangs and the incendiarily inclined recreational rioters they frequently encourage, we will need 25,000 Gardaí, and far more of them will need to be trained and armed. Even if the entire PSNI consented to be merged into AGS we will would still be 5,000 Gardaí and 9,000 soldiers* short of where we need to be to cope on that supposedly "glorious" day when Ireland would be united for only the second time in history - the first having been under the British crown or Cromwell's heel, depending on your take on history. * Peak British Army deployed strength during the Troubles was 16,000. The Irish Army will need to be at that strength to provide adequate MACP for the entire island in the event of reunification.
