@nwscug We have not had water in Kyebando for a month. You gave us no notice of such. Do you have any idea of how much we spend everyday in water because of your incompetence? Personally I’ve been spending more than 10k everyday in water for a month. Solve this ASAP or I take action

I am deeply honored and truly humbled to receive the 2025 Global Impact Award from Afroglobal Television in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a celebration of our collective efforts @VUKampala to use education as a force for transformation and a tool to shape the future of our continent. I sincerely thank @Afrogtv, Silvertrust Media, and the Transformation Institute for Leadership and Innovation for recognizing our work and the vision that drives it. In a very special way, I want to thank my amazing children, Wonder Muganga and Nelissa Ingabire Muganga, for representing me so beautifully at the awards ceremony. Seeing them stand tall at such a global stage and embrace this moment with such confidence fills me with great joy. I could not have asked for a better experience. vu.ac.ug

Out of Brokenness, She Built a Star Picture this: You check into hospital to give birth. Your doctor assures you that all will be well. You can do it naturally. But after a few hours, it becomes clear this will not happen. The next course of action is to deliver your baby using an extractor. Your baby is born, but doesn’t cry for several long, endless minutes. The medical staff do what they can. Finally, he cries. You breathe again. But later, you notice his head is swollen. The doctor assures you it will go down. Weeks later, you learn the truth: your baby suffered bleeding in the brain during delivery. That bleeding caused cerebral palsy. And just like that, your world changes forever. You begin a journey into a condition you hardly understand. You quit your job. Your life now revolves around your child, 24/7. You learn to read every twitch, every breath. You watch him like a hawk. You barely sleep. You live in fear of what could happen if you close your eyes even for a moment. Because his condition is severe, you start to close out the world, just so you can focus on him. Your social life fades. Your circle of friends thins out. You stop explaining the endless hospital visits. The pressure builds. The bills, the exhaustion, the rejection. You love your son, but you are running on empty. You are tired, not just in body, but in soul. Then one day, in yet another hospital room, the doctor can’t find a vein. Your child’s arms are swollen from all the cannulas he’s endured. The doctor kneels beside your child and prays. And finally, something in you breaks. You cry your tiredness out. The doctor says gently, “It’s okay to break down. From now on, pray for your healing, and pray that God will reveal the purpose of all this.” You take his words to heart. Over time, you find healing. And then, another miracle: you find your why. That is how Cerebral Stars Daycare Center was born. My walk guest today, Audrey, opened the Center in February this year, the first of its kind in Uganda. Audrey knows firsthand what it’s like to long for a space where a child with cerebral palsy can be loved, cared for, and allowed to shine, and where parents can finally breathe. This morning, as we walked and talked, I was awed. Awed by her courage. Awed by her grace. Awed by how pain can birth purpose. What an honor it was to walk with her and to be gifted this story, a story of resilience, faith, and a mother’s fierce love turned into service for others. Audrey’s Center runs entirely on donations. If this story has moved you, Audrey needs you. The children need you. Together, let’s give hope. Let’s be the hands that hold. The hearts that heal. #WalkTalkConnect #CerebralStars #MothersOfPurpose #HopeInAction
