According to Devyn Cousineau of the BC Human Rights Tribunal, this is hate speech and I am violating the BC Human Rights Code by posting this. You will be too, if you repost this. Will you let Cousineau's implicit threat of a massive fine scare you into silence?

Was Jordan Peterson rightly concerned? You be the judge. Quotes from the article by: "When Toronto professor Jordan Peterson started arguing loudly against compelled speech in 2016 a lot of people thought he was making a big fuss about nothing. Well, here we are in 2026 and a Quebec teacher either lies to parents or loses their job. With the connivance of officials in the provincial government, the teacher is being ordered to renounce their conscience and commit, what is to them, an immoral and unethical act." ... "According to Séguin, it is the first time a court action has raised freedom of conscience without also raising the issue of freedom of religion. “It is true that prohibitions against lying are common to all religions, but my client’s conscientious objection is not religious in nature,” said Séguin. “Secrecy toward parents, which in practice amounts to lying to them, is a serious violation of the legal contract that binds the state to its citizens.” Séguin believes that the case is likely to be a landmark case concerning schools’ secrecy policies and freedom of conscience. Let us hope the teacher wins, because once the state is allowed to lie in its policy documents, and once that is used to order people to lie to other citizens, then we are no longer sacrosanct individuals. We are mere tools of the state. nationalpost.com/opinion/michae…

“In truth, Canada approached the gender debate backwards, enshrining the highly disputed, unscientific concept of gender identity into law without analysis or scrutiny. And by doing so, it allowed activists to brand even basic questions or concerns as discrimination or hate,” writes MLI Senior Fellow @_CryMiaRiver. Read here⬇️

She was told she was broken, and she believed it. 💔 But all along, she was wonderfully made in the image of God. This Detrans Awareness Day, we continue to uphold this truth and share stories like Calista's to protect children from the harms of gender ideology.

B.C. school trustee resigns after shocking ‘woke’ Human Rights Tribunal ruling Former Chilliwack trustee and MLA Laurie Throness says the $750,000 decision against Barry Neufeld for “transpeople denialism” leaves him and other elected officials at risk of serious consequences for speaking out about gender ideology and SOGI 123 in schools. rebelne.ws/4sBG2fS

Yes, exactly. This was one of my most important goals all through the hearing. I knew we would lose, of course, but getting the Tribunal to acknowledge what transgenderism really is was very valuable, both for the appeal and for the court of public opinion.
Mia Hughes@_CryMiaRiver

As appalling as the Neufeld ruling is, it was also something of a relief to read Because trans activism laid its cards on the table: believe what we tell you to believe, or be punished Surely this is enough to jolt Canadians out of their stupor? My latest in the National Post

Amazing news! Alberta’s Law Society has eliminated its DEI committee as a step in complying with ‘Peterson’s law’ just passed by the UCP last fall (with the Nenshi NDP opposing it all the way). I’d like to thank the Law Society for doing so. Eliminating DEI programs and practices are supported by the vast majority of Albertans who despise identity politics and believe hiring and promotions should be 100% merit based…period canadianlawyermag.com/resources/prof…

HEAR! HEAR! @PardyBruce Bruce Pardy: C-9 is an affront to free speech, but the government took it away long ago 'Guaranteed rights' are doublespeak of the modern managerial state The federal government’s most recent assault on free speech — Bill C-9, the combating hate act — has been held up in committee as Liberals and Conservatives squabble over proposed amendments. If passed, Bill C-9 could be used, among other things, to prohibit peaceful protests that the government dislikes. But C-9 is not the cause of the long erosion of free speech in Canada. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms says we have free speech. Cereal boxes and tax returns show we don’t. Free speech is a “fundamental freedom” listed in Section 2 of the Charter. The Charter, of course, is part of the Constitution, the supreme law of the land. Free speech is a right we hold against governments. When governments do nothing, we have free speech. Governments protect free speech by getting out of the way. Read more: nationalpost.com/opinion/c-9-is…

Can elected officials in Canada still tell the truth about gender ideology? After former public school trustee Barry Neufeld was fined $750,000 for saying that there are only two genders, BC school trustee Laurie Throness resigned his position on February 26. He says that after that ruling, he cannot risk speaking openly--and that doing so might cause him to lose his home. Laurie Throness joined me to discuss the state of Canada, whether elected officials can still speak honestly about gender ideology, and why he felt he needed to resign.
