A lot of people have complained about the suppression algorithm on this site, so I did an experiment. Same content, 2 diff platforms: X versus Bluesky. Nothing political, nothing negative, just a post about going outside and touching grass. After an hour: 204 likes on Twitter 573 likes on Bluesky I have less than half as many followers on Bluesky than on X. I've been on this app for way longer than monetization was a thing. We didn't care about views, we cared about engagement. I'm seeing people on BOTH SIDES of the political spectrum unhappy with how their content is not being shown to the audiences that we spent YEARS curating. Whoever is making the decisions to restrict the number of posts people can do before getting deboosted and other restrictions, it's a mistake I've said it before, and I'll say it again: just because I'm pointing out shit that ain't working right doesn't mean I'm leaving, because I'm not. But if you're in a restaurant, and the customer complains there's a fly in their soup, don't blame them. Blame whoever is fucking up the soup, and fix it.
