B.C. has just surpassed the 2017 wildfire season for number of square kilometres burned, and will soon pass 2018 for the top spot in modern history

The Owl Creek #CulturalBurn was conducted to introduce fire back into the landscape to try revitalizing the berry population for the community and grizzly bear habitat. Located outside of Pemberton, BC, this burn was implemented by Lil’wat Nation with support from @BCGovFireInfo.

@cxadlam We are having the same issues in southwestern BC. Once the snow melts for our fires it is still really dry underneath.

A week ago we couldn’t get a permit for a prescribed burn because allegedly it was too hot and dry and now this. This is an issue.

Okay considering I work in forestry and this lady might be the next Premier of BC, I had questions about this pledge. Yesterday, we got some answers. And quite frankly it seems like she's trolling the NDP party establishment 1/?

The truth is in the budget, not the marketing. From my association (@abcfp) - falling membership is resulting in increased costs for current members. Some groups will tell you the forest sector provides great employment...but the numbers say otherwise.
