The only developed countries in the world that are not accepting significant numbers of Indian immigrants are China and North Korea.

@okaythenfuture @Molson_Hart Will be nothing like Brazil. Brazil is uncrowded, culturally homogenous, and blessed with abundant resource wealth and water. It’s a relatively simple oligarchy. India is teeming & scarce, with scores of ethnic, religious, & clan divisions compounding caste and class conflicts.

I believe in India because I saw China transform in a way that I never thought possible. Yeah the buildings and trains are amazing, but the way people behaved changed completely. If China could, why can’t India? People blame genetics for behaviors that are driven by culture and incentives. India has a lot of disadvantages that China did not have: - more chaotic government - more languages, less national identity - AI poses a greater threat to their industries But India also has advantages that China did not have: - better English language skills (also can be a negative) - more accomplished diaspora who can return - rising in an era without a clear hegemonic power The things I see people mock India for, I saw firsthand in tier 3 city China 15 years ago. I watched a chef drop a wok of rice on the floor and put the rice right back into the wok. I saw a pile of manure that got dumped in the downtown. Broken glass and sharp wires at neck height everywhere. Gutter oil! Restaurants cooking with used oil from other restaurants. Is India more dysfunctional in states like Bihar than this? Yes, but I think they can fix it, just needs time, education, and different incentives. Will they match China? No one will ever, but they can be unique and great in their own Indian way.

@PunishedKebbin @CivitasSameer What an idiot. Martha's protected the famous Tanjavur temple in Tamilnadu. Even today its the descendants of Martha's are the care taker of those temples in TN.

The Marathas were a shit show because they raided and plundered Hindu temples, Jain bankers, they killed vaishnavas priests, and raped women galore. HINDUS themselves were so sick and tired of it that they willfully sought the protection of the British. I lay a big portion of blame of the reason India was so handedly colonized by the British at the feet of the Marathas. The true Dharmic king was Raja Man Singh I of Amber.

@HinduSanskriti0 Relax man. Even the NRIs are not this worried. 😂 If they come they are not going to come to work as a cheap labor like yall. They will most probably start a business on their own and provide jobs for the people.

Don't even consider returning to India in the near future if you have moved out. As a citizen, I would like to inform you that meritocracy is demonised and the general category in India receives apartheid-like treatment. India is also declining from a cultural standpoint. Avoid!

Open letter to Indians in America. -- Dear brothers and sisters from Bharat: Like I did 37 years ago, you arrived in America with no money but with a good education and cultural heritage from Bharat. You achieved outstanding success. America was good to us. For that we must remain grateful - gratitude is our Bharatiya way. Yet today, a significant number of Americans, may be not the majority but not too far from it either, believe that Indians "take away" American jobs and our success in America was unfairly earned. You may think the next election will fix this, but your choice would be between people who hate our Bharatiya civilisation and people who hate civilisation itself. That is the "hard right" vs "woke left" battle. You are mere bystanders to that conflict. Meanwhile there is one thing that is true now and will be true in the future: the respect Indians command world-wide will substantially depend on the fortunes of India herself. If India remains poor, the woke left will give us moral lectures with pity and the hard right, different moral lectures with scorn ("hellhole") and we must not confuse either with respect. Respect in today's world, along with prosperity and security, comes from one source: a nation's technological prowess. India produces sufficient brain power to achieve that prowess but alas we exported so much of that talent, particularly to America. As we develop that prowess in India, our civilisational strength will assert itself. As difficult as it is for many of you to contemplate this, please come back home. Bharat Mata needs your talent. Our vast youthful population needs the technology leadership you gained over the years to guide them towards prosperity. Let's do it with a missionary zeal. Respectfully Sridhar Vembu

Adi Shankaracharya is traditionally believed to have been born in Kerala (Kalady), and I welcome people hosting flags with his photo on them in Kerala because he is a native of Malayalam civilization. However, Shivaji Maharaj is NOT a native of Malayalam civilization, and his contribution to Kerala is negligible. Malayalis with self-respect would surely call it out when Hindutvawadis try to impose a Maratha king on Kerala.
Sameer Rao@CivitasSameer

@VarierAravind So by your logic, you shouldnt have an issue with Shankaracharya flags all over Kerala? I would love to see you advocate for that

IPS officers posted to West Bengal as observers for the election, are being systematically identified, doxxed and threatened by the TMC and its desperate leaders - which is an unpardonable sin. These officers are simply doing their duty in trying to ensure a free and fair election in a State which is well-known for its rampant bloodshed and violence perpetrated by the TMC’s own homegrown goons. I hope our constitutional courts and the election commission @ECISVEEP are alive to these deliberate acts of criminal intimidation.

Tambrams like me and him have more of a chance getting elected in Ohio(Vivek Ramaswamy) in allegedly racist USA than in Tamil Nadu our alleged home. Sridhar saar is a BJP sympathiser. There are zero Brahmin BJP MLA and MP candidates in TN. Our Temples are free in USA. Indians have free speech in USA, so anyone can be criticised unlike he who must not be named in India. Most Ugandan Indians did not RETVRN after Idi Amin - the Ugandan Periyar - expelled them. Mamdani's family did, but even they eventually moved to USA where he is dominating. What do we learn from this?
