I would happily pay for an upgrade. Square this is egregious.

EA confirms Need for Speed and Burnout are dead, Criterion Games to focus on the Battlefield franchise "An executive clarifies that no new Need for Speed title is in the works, even as the studio celebrates its 30th anniversary. The NFS and Burnout franchises are essentially on an indefinite hiatus." “We are not here to talk about the past. We are solely focused on Battlefield,” says VP & GM of Battlefield Studios Europe, Rebecka Coutaz. Need for Speed declined greatly over the last decade, prompting EA to place the IP on an indefinite hold. via: IGN ign.com/articles/crite…

This girl is cruising down the highway in her stick shift, windows down, wind in her hair, belting out songs while she shifts gears without missing a beat. She looks genuinely happy and in control. Most people these days never learn how to drive manual. It takes real timing and coordination to get the clutch and gas right, especially when you’re just trying to have fun and sing along. Seeing her do it so naturally makes you realize how much of that skill is disappearing. Do you think driving stick is becoming a lost art, or do you still think it’s worth teaching people even if almost every new car is automatic?

Leadership at Halo Studios is mismanaging the Halo franchise and mistreating employees. Pierre Hintze (Head of Studio) has repeatedly reported to HR for mistreating employees. • Berates development teams, causing fear of presenting work. • Dismissive response to work-life balance concerns: "I don't give a fuck." • Downplays employee questions about full-time roles or advancement. • Verbally abusive incidents, including telling one employee to "get the f*** out of the studio." • Cruel treatment of long-time friend and colleague Michael Farney (former head of production/executive producer for Campaign Evolved), leading to demotion, medical leave, and being let go during that leave. • Poor project management on Campaign Evolved (constant priority changes, lack of roadmap/planning), then blaming the team despite their efforts to salvage it. Other Leadership Issues: • Chris Matthews (Studio Art Director): Accused of cronyism (hiring friends over qualified candidates), inappropriate comments to co-workers (HR intervention required), and other complaints. • Elizabeth Van Wick (Chief Operating Officer): Criticized for focusing on personal activities (e.g., vacations) instead of studio/financial responsibilities. • Craig Duncan (Xbox Game Studios leadership): Credited with strongly supporting Pierre's promotion despite limited mentoring.
