I finally got to charge at an iONNA charging station and everyone is right… they are the gold standard of EV charging in 2026!
400kW charging, NACS and CCS plugs available. Plenty of stalls and space. At a Wawa so there’s tons of good food and clean bathrooms. Also had trash cans AND window cleaning squeegee‘s right next to the chargers. An affordable $0.39/kWh rate that requires so subscription.
In fact, Ford and many other OEM’s support plug and charge! If you aren’t fimiliar, iONNA is a joint venture between 8 major auto makers dedicated to installing 30,000 stalls by 2030! This station south of Lima, OH is one of their first 100 stations!

100% true. This effect has actually been studied carefully with shocking results

If Tesla makes a car with 3 rows of seats, each with its own pair of doors so nobody has to climb over anybody else to get to their seat, they will create a baby boom the likes of which we haven’t seen in 80 years

@wintonARK Hope you don't have Rivian fans as friends.
"They like to drive"
Unless it's the completely useless UHF for which they will cut their hands!!
English

It really is bizarre.
Most of my friends don't have FSD (or a Tesla).
And it is the single biggest lifestyle difference between us.
They drive their cars.
My car drives me.
They don't get how much--even at its current capability-level--the product changes life-feel.
FSD truly is a mass luxury product. That it is still so narrowly enjoyed is mind-bending.

@LauraLoomer @TuscaloosaSEC That explains it! Have them first and then we can revisit this thread with your new perspective!
English

@TuscaloosaSEC Not yet. But I can’t believe a baby has been crying for 10 hours. Doesn’t seem normal. 1 hour, maybe. But 10? Wow. Unbearable.

@TimMLatimer @SawyerMerritt Most of the Buccees have them for multiple years now

@TesCalendar1 @grok compare VW Buzz lane keeping assist with tesla autopilot and Rivian universal hands free as applicable to local roads.

I was just at a restaurant talking to the owner about his Tesla and our new VW ID BUZZ. He thought it was very cool and asked if it had self driving like his Tesla?
I kind of smirked and said… Nobody really has full self driving like Tesla. They are definitely the best. But the BUZZ does have great lane keeping similar to Autopilot.
I’m happy give constructive criticism on just about anything, but I’m very realistic about the truth and reality!

English

@niccruzpatane I wish FSD has the best autopilot feature of just stick to an effing speed and don’t change it unless needed to turn or yield.
English

With NVIDIA’s Alpamayo Reasoning Model, passengers can use natural language instructions to request driving adjustments, such as changing lanes, speeding up, taking a detour, or pulling over, all while using your voice.
Examples:
• "Hey Mercedes, speed up."
• "Hey Mercedes, make a lane change to the right."
• "Hey Mercedes, take the next exit."
• "Hey Mercedes, pull over here."

@NishitShawHere Why Kattapa killed Baahubali?
Nothing else compares to this question!!

Any statistics on how many battery failures at Tesla, warranty or not.
English

This is always funny to hear.
Batteries in a Tesla are designed to last at least 300,000 to 500,000 miles. That’s roughly 15–35+ years for average drivers (assuming 12,000–15,000 miles/year).
Plus, every new Tesla comes with an 8 year warranty on the battery.

Personal Finance Blogs@pfinanceblogs
@theficouple The battery replacement is a killer. That has kept us out of the EV game so far.
