@AntarTik0 I mean, each of them has a special place in my heart. The first game was amazing, and still lives on with some mind blowing, game changing mods.
Below Zero was awesome for it's story.
2 is shaping up to be something quite amazing, check back in a few years when it's finished.

@CoreyHikari Had this happen with a few of those puzzles. I found moving a bit further away helped in most cases.
It seems to trigger the AI's "Dodge friendly fire" mechanic. Super frustrating.

A Reddit user recently shared that they nearly caused a fire with the Steam Controller charging puck after a metal watch strap accidentally touched the puck’s exposed charging contacts while it was plugged in.
The contact created a short circuit, causing heat, sparks, and some melting before the user noticed and stopped it.
Shared photos showed visible damage to both the watch strap and the charging puck.
If you use the Steam Controller puck, keep it in an open area where metal objects cannot accidentally touch it while plugged in.

Sure the defensive systems for the tadpole is missing but it'll come. They've said some fish were overaggressive and patched it

@BustaSnutt It's doing exactly what the other games did. Most people finish the 20-30 hours worth of content and then shelf it until the next big update, which will cause a spike. Rinse and repeat.

@SurvivalGN I imagine that's how it's going to go from now on. I'm 30 hours in. Story finished. 2 fully stocked bases full of every material. A large farm and a ton of metal extractors. Everything is scanned. Nothing left to really explore. It'll peak with the next big update.

Design or not, not being able to fish and cook fish in a game all about fish is rather stupid.

It would be a great way to teach about conservation and invasive species. Hunting down rapidly breeding predators your science(tm) ship let into the wild sounds cool. Lots of lessoons you could teach besides stupid "le violence is bad"

Subnautica 2 devs say "go play Sons of the Forest" if you don't like its lack of violence. The game focuses on underwater exploration, and you cannot kill most creatures. On the official Discord, one player asked why killing is impossible in SN2 as it makes no sense. Level designer Artyom O’Rielly replied, “This is not a killing game, so go play Sons of the Forest if you want to kill.” Another developer said, “The team discusses this a lot inside the studio and may let players catch small fish for food, but large creatures will stay safe so the game feels right.” This idea comes from the first Subnautica, as the team wants players to discover things, feel wonder, and live with ocean life instead of fighting it. A fan-made mod already lets players kill creatures, and the studio is reading all feedback. It plans to add better ways to scare off creatures but will not add weapons. Early access is expected to last up to 3 years.

@JesterUrufu @ignys_orora I didn't do it. I thought it was kinda dumb you could stun a giant leviathan with a tiny stasis bubble then kill it with a ton of tiny little cuts.
What I did do, and do miss, and hope they add, is the defensive measures. The Perimeter Defense System was far more useful.
