The only books that anyone on X has read is Blood Meridian, Starship Troopers, Dune and Lord of the Rings. And the latter three, people just watched the movies.

We should think of Tucker Carlson the way we think of Thomas Paine, as a pamphleteer shaping the public mind for revolution.

In the Hamilton song, "One Last Time," Lin-Manuel Miranda cuts this line from Washington's Farewell Address. What do you notice he is intentionally leaving out of an otherwise verbatim section of George Washington's speech? "Relying on its kindness in this as in other things, and actuated by that fervent love towards it, which is so natural to a man who views in it the native soil of himself and his progenitors for several generations ..."

The subject matter is so intriguing and important that it isn't hard to overlook that the author works for CNN and is a huge Hamilton the Broadway musical fan. Even if you never read this book or any book about the Farewell Address, just read the address itself. It's free online, and never leaves America relevancy through any age or trial. 9/10, without much qualm willing to round up to 5/5 stars.
