And while the game breaks a lot, it is making constant progress forward. Definitely takes somebody who can deal w/ jank though.

@silderfoe @geoffkeighley I mean you're not entirely wrong. But fighting stiff in space is fun whether its noc's or players. Large scale fleet stuff is really fun to do. Replaying missions gets repetitive but the underlying gameplay is at least fun for me to continue to play and grind out rep

@MagaKeyKey @geoffkeighley Sometimes even when it doesnt work it can be incredible. But you often get a lot of frustration mixed in there. Losing 1 million credits becaise I forgot to insure my ships loadout was a fun bit of self inflicted frustration that I learned after I accidentally rammed a ship.

Star Citizen is free to play until May 27, as developer Cloud Imperium Games gives players temporary access to the game during its latest event. The game is approaching $1 billion in player funding. That would make it one of the most funded video game projects ever. Star Citizen has been in development for more than 10 years and still has no full release date. The single-player mode, Squadron 42, is currently expected to launch in 2026.

I’ll say it again…. Here is the way I expect this to go down. September we get 4.10 which will be a large quality of life and stability patch to smooth things over and maybe push item recovery T1 and some social tools into the game. October we get a SQ42 release on the backs of a very stable SC patch so hype is high! November we get another feature heavy final year end last hoorah patch with IAE and post SQ42 and everyone’s in cloud 9 through the end of the year

@RohanKarMooN Back when this game was announced, I was in the crowd that just wanted a return to Modern Warfare or near future like Black Ops 2 without fancy exo suits or wall running. But when I played Infinite Warfares campaign years down the line I really liked it. Top 5 campaign probably.

Those sweaty COD bros saw this and were like "naah we want more boots-on-the-ground slop" Imagine if COD fans were more welcoming towards changes, we would've gotten AW2 as well.

@Shr00msy Uso doesn't rely on any of the fancy newtype abilities for the most part. In terms of pure mobile suit skill he's really high up there. Amuro and Char have more experience in terms of years fought, but Uso is an exceedingly good pilot, he uses every part of his MS that he can.

The fact thar Char disabled all of Amuros weaponry and had him on the retreat the entire fight in CCA puts him at a solid number 2 spot for the strongest pilot. He had the upper hand the entire fight up until he found out how fast Sazabi uses power and how weak his saber was compared to Nu Gundams.

@denpanopticon GBO2 is just uber clunk. Endless stuns that lead to animations with 5 thousand i-frames. They have suits like the V2 moving like a geriatric old man.

i think GBO2 is probably the only game where controlling a mobile suit is fun and learning is a process

@TheDarkLawTV So I mean we weren't exactly well prepared. But my firebird was knocked out and EMP'd pretty much as soon as I hit the central area flying through at ~150m/s. Vanduul Tech Smugglers would be good, but the elevators have been broken for 2 patches so we didn't even bother trying it

@KnightsMagicEn If you have rep for TSG's you can do the missions for Vanduul Smuggling, they have a chance to drop Mil stuff inside A & Bs. Crafted will also help depending on DIST spec.

I swear some of the Creators for #StarCitizen are the softest hands... Crying about TSG Trench runs, saying it's too hard, nerf the Distortion... How about just quickly learn some mechanics like... learn the routes, prep your ships correctly to counter Distortion... @TheDarkLawTV We barely managed to scrape together the resources to run TSG last night because it was new. Nobody had the time or money to be grinding out the contracts for higher quality power plants. A couple people got the JS-400 BP last night though, so might craft those.
