Almost every parent of young children I know in the Tri-state is in the midst of a months-long, non-Covid, non-RSV upper respiratory situation, the main characteristic of which is it simply does not end. Unclear if it’s one virus or several.

@MamaWeasleyy @yannotyam I just looked on vaccines.gov and the nearest places to get my children <2 vaccinated are Memphis and Houston. Each are about 6 hours from New Orleans. 👏👏👏👏

@Novavax - I’ve called, I’ve written, to no response. It’s impossible to find a place that offers novavax. Vaccines.gov says cvs but no cvs has ever heard of novavax. There’s no info anywhere on your site when updated booster will arrive. Terrible PR!!!

@winstoncb I'm sorry that you and so many others have had this experience. My hope is that the focus on cognitive impairment in long Covid will drive research that will help other similar types of cognitive impairment as well

@KnvulS Thanks for acknowledging that. I was an athlete and knowledge worker with a clean bill of health when I came down with mono/EBV and then developed ME/CFS. That was 6 years ago. I have seen the top specialists in the U.S. I remain substantially physically & cognitively disabled.

@KnvulS While researching your NYT piece on brain fog did any experts mention that in #longCOVID cognitive impairment can be exacerbated by exertion — physical & mental — and ongoing over-exertion can lead to longterm deterioration? Also a hallmark of the condition ME/CFS.

The president tested negative today and will isolate for another day pending a 2nd negative test. This is actually not CDC guidance, but really should be.
