@WhatNathTweets @TowersStreet Not as bad as Monorail, thats closed coz they found crumbling foundations on some supports during pre-season. Theyre being fixed but theres still one on the right of Curse toilets entrance you can see a bolt on the foundation gk through the concrete and out the other crumbled end

@WhatNathTweets @TowersStreet Warped wheel from what ive heard, good progress and the cable is nearly fully reattatched, wouldnt be surprised to see it testing at some point over easter, but dont know for sure.

@TowersStreet Have you had any insight on the sky ride? Unlike the rapids, it doesn’t say opening in May but they refuse to answer any questions on it. It was shut for 3 years and already needs maintenance, which they waited to do during the new season - all very weird.

@jack_stagram I really hope this doesnt get a retrack. Towers NEEDS flat rides for one but also a shiny, new, very very popular roller coaster that can draw massive crowds to the park... A tilt coaster in place of oblivion, what a ride that would be. Oblivion is tired and needs to go.

Nemesis ran for 28 years, then closed for a re-track. Oblivion is now in its 28th Season… 🤔

@BrynMez @ThemeParkWW Number of trains on rides is fine, WM needs its 3rd and so does gal but otherwise the issue is that the park has a lack of rides in general, 8 of the ones they do have are closed for essential maintainance and rides have been very unreliable today...

@ThemeParkWW Is it busy due to crowds or more because of poor operations/ lack of staff and trains running? I was there opening day and the crowds didn't seem massive but ride closures, lack of trains & operating staff slowed everything down. Weird management decisions being made... #skint

@CoasterJoey It definitely was, It could easily be a longer ride, run 3 trains, have a less painfully and dumbly slow break run or all of the above. It could also actually look nice and have dont die fencing which doesn't make your eyes hurt when you look through it lol. We can all dream ig

@Koala_Builds Hyperia feels like it was held back by budgetary restraints. It could have been the magnum opus for Mack, but sadly that award went to either Voltron or The Ride to Happiness. Merlin for ya.

Whilst Hyperia has arguably one of the best first drop in the world (so does The Big One), I think I prefer Icon overall. I prefer the pacing, appreciate the length, love the stylisation and the trains and just enjoy the experience more. Dare I ask if anyone agrees? 😏😩

@CoasterJoey It is over quickly but every element hits like a ton of bricks lol, Icon has its weaker spots, especially in the first half. That being said Icon is my 2nd favourite in the UK and is definitely the better and nicer overall package. And it doesn't have nearly as many techy issues!

@Koala_Builds Hyperia is awesome for sure, but it’s over so quickly. It’s less than 30 seconds from the top of the lifthill to the breaks. Icon is a better overall experience imo, but I can see why some people love the intensity of Hyperia (even if it is short)

@onetrainops Agreed, i only rank Shambhala above it. Idk why Baco is so good, it should be terrible considering how much it throws you around lol

best stall i've done but the rest of the ride was underwhelming... not sure warming up can save it but we'll see

@UniversalQuacks I mean I would say the Texas parks & Canada's Wonderland are also core parks. Probably Great America too

I think it's obvious at this point the core parks at minimum include both Ohio parks, Carowinds, Knott's, and SFMM. There are some debatable ones like SFOG or King's Dominion. The rest are for sure on the chopping block.

@onetrainops I actually think its quite a good ride, definitely best in the park although Tornado definitely isnt a high bar

first trip to mainland spain in a couple of weeks and even though i'm riding shambhala and batman GCE i'm unfortunately really excited for abismo

@supkophoto ... not a very nice park to be in all things considered. The 5 rides we did get on were all pretty crap as well. We ended up leaving after 3 hours to spend the night at Kings Dominion, which on the contrast was a really good park so I can see why they are closing SFA

@supkophoto People act like it was an amazing park, in my 1 and only visit mid-2025 it was dreadful, Obviously with Batwing being closed and being unlucky enough to go on the day Superman broke that wasnt helping but most rides were closed, it was busy for everything else and it was just...

My thoughts on the closing of SFA. My first and only visit to the park in 2014, before Ragin' Cajun opened and hadn't been back since. If the park wasn't closing I wouldn't have been back. A star flyer, pendulum ride, and Nebulaz added in 10 years wasn't enough to bring me back.
