I think it depends because for a lot of series the japanese name either just sounds better or already became a staple among fans before there was even an official translation, but if you say Hagane no Renkinjutsushi instead of Fullmetal Alchemist you're getting a wedgie

one example of performative behavior i've noticed for years is where when a piece of japanese media has a very widely used localized name in english some fans of it will insist on using the japanese name anyway for some reason. very "place, japan" vibes

NEWS: The Japanese mobile version of Pac-Man from the 2000s will be getting re-released for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam as part of the "G-Mode Archives" line of titles. There is not yet a release date, but the Steam page is live.
