ادعای ثبت‌نام بیش از ۳۰ میلیون نفر در پویش «جان‌فدا» توسط جمهوری اسلامی، بزرگ‌ترین رسوایی عددسازی در تاریخ پویش‌های جهان است: ۱) عدم تاثیر تبلیغات سراسری: در روزهای ۹ و ۱۰ فروردین، پیامکی به تمام ایرانیان داخل کشور ارسال شد که طی آن هر نفر می‌توانست ظرف یک ثانیه و با ارسال عدد ۱ در پاسخ پیامک ثبت‌نام کند (پیکان سبز). هم‌زمان در شبکه‌های اجتماعی داخلی نیز طوفان تبلیغات اتفاق افتاد. در شرایط قطع اینترنت، مردم بیشترین توجه را به پیامک و شبکه‌های اجتماعی داخلی داشتند. اما نرخ رشد آمار بلافاصله پس از آن نسبت به روزهای بعد هیچ افزایشی نداشت (پیکان قرمز). پس از چنین فراخوان گسترده‌ای باید شاهد یک «جهش» (Spike) بزرگ باشیم، اما ماشین عددساز فراموش کرده بود سرعت آمار را زیاد کند. گویا مردم به زمان بیشتری نیاز داشته‌اند تا ببینند جان‌فدا هستند یا خیر! ۲) رشد کاملا خطی: در کمپین‌های واقعی، پس از همه‌گیرشدن موضوع در رسانه‌ها و شبکه‌های اجتماعی، نرخ ثبت‌نام به شدت افزایش، و پس از رسیدن به نقطه‌ی اشباع ناگهان کاهش می‌یابد. این موضوع را می‌توان هم در کمپین‌های بزرگ اخیر ایران (سمت چپ بالا) و هم در سایر کشورها از جمله بزرگ‌ترین Petition های تاریخ انگلستان (سمت چپ پایین) مشاهده کرد. در جان‌فدا، ثبت‌نام به صورت کاملا خطی با شاخص باورنکردنی R^2=0.995 در طول ۱۸ روز ادامه داشته‌است. ۳) بی‌تفاوتی محض به زندگی مردم: نرخ رشد آمار تحت تأثیر وقایع مهمی مثل پایان تعطیلات سال نو (پیکان آبی) یا اعلام آتش‌بس (پیکان نارنجی) هم قرار نگرفت. این یعنی روند افزایش اعداد، هیچ ارتباطی به دنیای واقعی و رفتار مردم نداشته است.
