I’ve held my hands up for what I got wrong but won’t let you attach opinions to me that I never gave. I’ve been one of the most vocal about the system and how Arteta uses our players. I’ve also defended Gyokeres more than most. But he needed to do more whether that’s on him or on other factors. My point is the idea that Kai facilitates more football, an opinion I shared, is nonsense

It’s been evident for long that Gyokeres isn’t the issue, it’s the system and the team around him. But you were gullible, you let the agendas of the haters disgusing as ‘tacticos’ get to you.

I’m disgusted with myself. I agreed with & pushed the idea that we make more happen with Kai than Gyokeres. Complete nonsense and actually there was plenty of evidence that that was nonsense - it just hadn’t happened for a while I think this game has proven a few things right that we’ve called for (more MLS mins, Rice RCM) - but Gyokeres is showing he can make things happen for us
