“FORGED FOR GREATNESS”
The Man Amb. AbdulFatai Yahaya Seriki Gambari (MFR, FNMGS, FNSEG); The Story of Loyalty, Grassroots Legitimacy, Productive Capacity, and the Emergence of a New Generation of Leadership in Kwara State
Every generation eventually encounters defining moments. Moments when history quietly asks a society a difficult question:
what kind of leadership deserves the future?
Not merely who desires power but who has prepared for responsibility.
Who understands the people.
Who understands sacrifice.
Who understands loyalty.
Who understands governance.
Who understands the future.
Kwara State now stands at such a moment;
A transition moment.
A continuity moment.
A generational moment.
And perhaps most importantly… a defining leadership moment.

Rep. Muktar Shagaya @MuktarShagaya Wins APC Primary in Landslide Victory
Hon. Muktar Shagaya, the incumbent Member of the House of Representatives for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for a second term after winning today’s primary election by a wide margin.
Shagaya dominated the direct primaries held across all 29 wards of the constituency. He polled 77,625 votes in total, according to the official APC collation sheets from all voting centres.
In Asa Local Government Area, Shagaya received 27,283 votes across the 17 wards. His closest challenger, Yakub Amasa Yusuf, polled 5,746 votes, followed by Qs. Muhammed Kabir Olayiwola with 1,411 votes, and Mopelola Risikatullahi AbdulMalik with 623 votes.
His lead widened further in Ilorin West, where he garnered 50,342 votes. Yakub Amasa Yusuf recorded 598 votes, Muhammed Kabir Olayiwola polled 76 votes, and Mopelola Risikatullahi Abdulmalik received no votes.
Party members attribute the decisive outcome to Shagaya’s performance since assuming office.
“His work in the House of Representatives is why members voted for him so overwhelmingly. This result shows constituents are satisfied with his representation,” a party official said.
Shagaya’s record includes legislative achievements, youth and women empowerment programs, and development projects across both Ilorin West and Asa local government areas.

Today, I join the rest of the world to celebrate the dignity of labour as we mark the International Workers' Day 2026. I appreciate the incredible contributions of our workers across all sectors in Kwara State.
Our administration values the critical roles workers play in the socioeconomic development of our state. This is reflected in our timely payment of salaries, provision of conducive working environment, and swift implementation of any welfare-oriented national policy for the workforce.
We have approved the 30% peculiar allowance for core civil servants in our state. In the spirit of fairness, our administration also approved upward review of Teacher’s Specific Allowance (TSA) for teachers, and different allowances for other professionals. In the last six years, we have cleared backlogs of salaries, allowances, pensions, while steadily clearing huge gratuities that we inherited along with the ones under us. We will continue to constructively engage labour leaders on areas of improvement.
I specially commend our gallant and courageous personnel who work round the clock to protect our people and keep our state safe and peaceful.
I reaffirm our administration’s commitment to building a Kwara where workers thrive, where decent jobs are created, where careers are continually nurtured, and where every sector is empowered to contribute meaningfully to state’s prosperity.
Happy Workers' Day.

DECLARATION SPEECH BY AKEWEJE OLAYINKA FAFOLUYI (SOLACE) For Member, Kwara State House of Assembly, Irepodun Constituency
My fathers, mothers, elders, youths, party leaders, stakeholders, and the good people of Irepodun Constituency,
I greet you all.
I want to sincerely appreciate the leadership and members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), for their commitment to progress and unity. I also acknowledge our local government APC chairman and other executives whose loyalty to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, remains a shining example of true leadership.
Today is not just another gathering. It is a defining moment — a moment of purpose, commitment, and action.
Standing before you in our historic town of Aran-Orin, I am humbled by your presence, your belief, and your unwavering faith in a better Irepodun. I do not take your support for granted.
With a deep sense of responsibility and total submission to the will of God and the people, I, Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi, also known as Solace, hereby formally declare my intention to represent you, the good people of Irepodun Constituency, in the Kwara State House of Assembly.
This decision is driven not by ambition alone, but by conviction. The conviction that Irepodun deserves more. The conviction that our people deserve representation that listens, understands, and delivers. The conviction that leadership must move beyond promises to tangible service.
_Service Beyond Promises_ is not just a slogan to me. It is a lifelong commitment.
My experience in public service, particularly as Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has exposed me to governance, citizen engagement, and the duty to deliver real impact. I have learned that true leadership is measured not by words, but by results.
Irepodun is blessed with hardworking people, rich culture, and immense potential. Yet we all know more must be done: in youth empowerment, support for our farmers and traders, infrastructure, education, and ensuring every ward feels the presence of government.
*My vision is clear:*
- *Responsive and accessible representation* that gives every community a voice.
- *Youth empowerment* through opportunities, skills, and platforms for growth.
- *Support for local businesses and agriculture* to strengthen our economy from within.
- *Development projects* that improve roads, schools, and basic amenities.
- *Inclusive governance* where no ward, no group, and no voice is left behind.
I stand before you today not as someone who has all the answers, but as someone ready to listen, to learn, and to serve.
To the good people of Irepodun, I say this:
This journey is not about me alone. It is about us. It is about our future. It is about building a constituency where our children can dream and achieve, where our elders are respected and supported, and where development is collective, not selective.
I ask for your support. I ask for your trust. I ask for your prayers.
Together, we can move Irepodun forward.
Together, we can turn hopes into reality.
Together, we can deliver _Service Beyond Promises_.
May God bless you all.
May God bless Irepodun Constituency.
May God bless Kwara State.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Thank you.

@Kwara_APC says Saraki's relationship with Offa robbery convicts not hidden.
2: he's not above prosecution, law:
3: APC Party says Saraki a known patron of 'good boys'
4: Addressing a news briefing in Ilorin on Saturday, APC Publicity Secretary Alhaji Abdulwaheed Babatunde said the convicted Offa bank robbers were known to have strong relationship with Saraki who had at many times patronised them for political reasons.
5: The party said this relationship was clearly established in the testimonies of the former Chief of Staff to the Governor Yusuf Abdukwahab and Ayo Akinnibosun, one of the convicts who headed a political group reportedly funded by Saraki.
6: Neither Saraki nor the PDP needs to lose sleep if their hands are clean. But they must come to terms with the fact that the court deals with evidence and fact, not dramatic statements that seek to erase the facts of history.
7: Rather than the shameful resort to personal attacks like a child whose lollipop was taken away, we advise him to go face his trial and let the court establish his guilt or otherwise.
8: Senator Saraki's denial of link with the murderers is laughable and characteristically deceitful, given the large volume of evidence to the contrary. Only cowards make such denial.
9: The testimonies of the Chief of Staff to the Governor Yusuf Abdulwahab and Ayo Akinnibosun do not support Saraki's claims, but we leave the court to do their work when the case begins in June.
10: Beyond these testimonies, everyone who lived the realities of the time knew his claims to be false.
11:,We particularly commend the state government for the boldness to put Saraki to trial despite his vaingloriness and boastfulness in deceit. The convicts have named his role in how they acquired guns and other logistics.
12: Governor AbdulRazaq remains focused on governance. While PDP is busy re-litigating 2018 in press statements, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is building and commissioning schools, constructing several roads, paying counterpart funds for rural roads, upgrading healthcare centers, developing the state at a fast pace, and ensuring salaries and pensions are paid as and when due. @NansKwara2025 @kwarablog @D2Nnamani @Arinolaa_ @RealArije @abdullahayofel @iamAhmadOlolu @Yeribaaba

Come to Ilorin and see the smart city with many ongoing development projects. We Ilorin boys are ready to end the Saraki era and build a new future for our dearest state.
