The testimony of Muhammad Khader, a father of five who was arrested at a school in Jabalya and held at the Sde Teiman detention facility, is a shocking reminder of Israel’s methods. Sleep deprivation, systematic starvation and denial of medical treatment are part of a deliberate practice implemented in all detention facilities where Palestinians are held. Some detainees suffer sexual assaults. At least 88 Palestinians have died in these facilities since October 2023 as a result of inhuman conditions and severe violence.
