What a week. Three more of them to stew on that. Painful season of transition. I still back Eddie and the boys, but we need to see a huge improvement in our final 7 games #nufc

@John8564643128 @Jake_armstrong9 I didn’t necessarily mean on the balance of play, more before kick off. But if we score the second we win. The Summer left us vulnerable and we have not built on it well enough. Howe is a coach and he hasn’t had any time to do that. He deserves another season for me.

You can be Howe in but there’s no point protecting him today absolutely not. He doesn’t deserve that protection. Sunderland have done the double over us. Even if you believe it’s harsh, the only noise coming from this fanbase should be negative.

@stevjay881 Everyone is emotional, I’m devastated, but rationally Howe deserves our support. We shouldn’t have won the cup last season, we shouldn’t have won at Chelsea, we shouldn’t have beaten Man Utd with 10 men. But we did. Sacking Howe would be a huge roll of the dice. Not for me.

The best #nufc players are those that can harness the energy of the crowd, but not let it make them lose focus or discipline. Too often at the moment players are getting overexcited in key moments and we are conceding goals or giving away stupid fouls. Teams know we’re vulnerable

@ashby_tim He took Bournemouth from League 2 to the Prem. But it looks like we won’t agree, and that’s fine. Sir Bobby was hounded out for supposed under performance and it took us a decade to recover. If we aren’t top 6 in 12 months time it would be time for a change, not yet.

Any #nufc fan that thinks the world Of Eddie Howe should speak out. I think he is an elite coach who has worked in hard conditions for years, and we take his strengths for granted. He has made mistakes, and I’ve disagreed with decisions. But Jesus Christ, he’s done so much right!

@RuzMark You can’t finish top 5 in 2 out of 3 seasons if there are significant cracks. Look at how Spurs and Man Utd have struggled with much bigger budgets in the same period. We are lucky to have him and need to support him when he needs it

@ashby_tim He changed our style of play after Bruce left a mess, coached international players to new levels, manages a smaller squad than 7 other clubs in 4 competitions. Conte and Jose both struggled at Spurs with bigger budgets and Sir Bobby (despite my love for him) didn’t win a trophy
