@ashpreetbedi For a large organization the tech is not the bottleneck, it’s the people. Startups and people working on MVPs stand to gain the most from coding agents, but in the rare chance that they are onto something they will soon meet the same bottleneck.

Everyone knows I'm super AI-pilled. But one trend I'm noticing as I talk to more and more companies: the personal productivity gains are not translating into organizational growth and efficiency as expected. It's an odd dichotomy. Individuals are more productive. Engineers are writing an insane amount of code. But the gains aren't showing up in the numbers yet. Not sure how universal this is.

AI hype-maxing: Every few months the industry invents a new buzzword, declares everything before it obsolete, and promises this one changes everything. And a famous name to lead developer education. Prompts → Loops → Harnesses → Agents → Graph Engineering. Starting to feel a lot like 1999.

@JeremiahDJohns Just to be clear so people don’t think he ran someone over. His actions let to the death of his passenger. But yes he did run a red light. But his focus on missing driving after that is appalling !

1989 was the last great year. • The Internet didn’t exist yet. • “Back to Life” was on the radio. • The Berlin Wall came down.

@DamonZumbroegel In a country where people will go out of their way to help you, it’s not that hard. But looks very exciting.

5 months on a motorcycle through India into the Himalayas? No maps? No phone? Yes……I did that. How? I just did it. I didn’t ask how. I just did it.

@daniel_w_owens Wow. I’m certainly not an anti-car activist (I use all forms of transport depending on the load I carry, and that includes bicycles), but this guy is showing zero remorse !! And he’s whining that he was forced to use public transport for a year.

Wait – the guy who runs Doomloop Dispatch is the same person who ran through a red, leading to the crash that killed Pulitzer Prize-winning David Halberstam?

At what point does it go from playing with your kid (practice) to teaching ? Is it the presence of a ball machine or doing drills ? So now we have rangers making a subjective call on what’s considered a legitimate rally in a game vs a drill ? If they booked the time I don’t see the issue with a father playing (or teaching) tennis to his kid. This is ridiculous. Also if teaching is not allowed without a permit how is proving they are your child going to change their mind ?

Got approached by two park rangers in full gear today for teaching tennis to my own children. Empty park, 3:15pm on a Thursday. No permit, $192 fine. Unless you can prove the students came out of you. I asked my kids to confirm I’m their dad. Somewhere in San Francisco an actual crime is happening, but at least the forehand situation is under control. Not a great use of city resources. But that’s just my opinion. 🤷🏻‍♂️🎾

Why isn't Chicago a more prominent place? Big city, beautiful architecture, top-tier sports teams, a solid subway system, and one of the world's biggest airports. People called it Second City for years. The Chicago Bulls were absolutely dominant during the 90s, and three of the 2000s biggest names (Kanye, Obama, and Oprah) rose to fame there as well. But the cultural spotlight has moved away from Chicago. I hear about cities like LA, SF, NYC, Miami, Dallas, Austin, and even Nashville much more. There's got to be a good story here, and I'm curious to hear it.
