@EdmElections @CityofEdmonton It’s been easily the longest I’ve had to wait to vote. I’ve been in line outside for 45 minutes in Bonnie Doon, and probably have another 20 to go. The federal vote took 10 minutes max.

Voters may experience longer lineups and wait times at voting stations given our current safety measures, as well as the two ballots that are provided to each voter. Lineups have been moved outdoors to allow for physical distancing. We thank voters for their patience.

@MarkyRoden Nearly all the problems with online voting are "people" problems, not technical ones. That said, there are plenty of technical problems with that approach as well... How would you make sure that the person using the cert to vote was actually the person you issued it to?

Technical question - I don't know the answer. How hard, safe, secure would it be to issue every registered voter a personal X.509 certificate to have them vote safely and un-hackably online? Corporations of 100ks can do it to provide access their environments - can it scale?

@GentScientist @akajb84 @PresChoice Pretty sure the rat is pureed. Chunks of rat is just nasty. In all seriousness though, "non plant based" cookies are mostly yet another clever butter delivery mechanism. Eggs are frequent stars as well.

What is a plant based cookie? Aren't most (all) cookies generally plant based? Oats - a plant. Flour - a plant. Sugar - from a plant. Canola/Vegetable oil - plant. Chocolate - a plant.

@travislicious Does Google give you a special prize if you can double your Chrome version number in a single update? if so, I guess you've missed out for another half decade or so.

At the In-laws and their version of Chrome is over 4 years out of date. 😱😱😱. Don’t worry, I bumped them from 43 to 77 (and hopefully auto update will help out from now on)

What will they do with it once they have bought it? There is nowhere to store it. When they say buy up .... they mean then destroy? Lambs bred and killed for nothing? And what will happen to next year’s? This is just criminally wrong. What the hell is wrong with this government?!
BBC Newsnight@BBCNewsnight

Government plans to buy up hundreds of thousands of tonnes of unsold lamb in the event of a no-deal Brexit could be unworkable because there is nowhere to store it, BBC Newsnight has learned bbc.in/2K9KDU1 MORE from 22:30 | @BBCTwo | @ElizabethGlinka | #newsnight

@KrisRMitchell @anyGould Sure, but I don't agree that it's UNfair either. Based on the picture, it looks like there's a lot of space. I don't think it's unreasonable to say "hey, there's a lot of space here, it's probably not new" The one organization able to correct that record, didn't.

@anyGould @troypavlek Perhaps I missed the other two spots. I definitely only saw one at first glance, for a van of that size. I don't disagree with you guys. Dude's not legally parked, needs his lights on. But "oh just park over there" isn't totally fair either.

@KrisRMitchell @troypavlek Well, I see two, possibly three spaces in that photo. Although I suppose it's possible everyone else in the neighborhood saw the cops arrived and wisely evacuated the area? (See also Troy's point.)

@troypavlek @anyGould No, no, I definitely agree. I mean, I think the Twitter pile on is a bit excessive, but the response from EPS wasn't reasonable, and they are certainly not legally parked. I just don't think "but why couldn't they park over there" is a valid argument.

@KrisRMitchell @anyGould Still irrelevant as it only applies when the lights are on. This police van is parked illegally, full stop. Even in that case, this response from the EPS is both arrogant, disrespectful and uninformed.
