@wmata your fare gates at NoMa are dangerous. Tapped my card, registered on display, gate opened. 1/2 second later, as I started passing, it slammed shut with excessive force, could easily cause injury. Station manager: "I apologize but I don't control these." What gives???

@Metrorailinfo TY. Already decided to walk 🤷‍♂️. I’m saying this as someone who wants Metrorail to thrive: things were better for a few years after the low in the mid-10s. But lately it seems reliability has taken a massive hit again. Nothing will precipitate a death spiral more than this.

Very disappointing to see that @TwitterSpaces has apparently ditched captioning entirely. I'd hoped the reports were due to a temporary glitch, but evidently it's a permanent decision. Big loss for inclusion and accessibility.

Many autistic people put subtitles on for every show they watch, even if they have a strong sense of hearing. This may be because the auditory processing differences and delays that many of us have mean we wouldn’t be able to follow what’s happening on our screens without them.

@anjalifp @NPRJoeShapiro @MikeThornton71 I had the privilege of interacting with him a few times in the post-CVAA landscape. I remember him as a tireless advocate who Got Stuff Done. He will be missed.

@jerems6 @Krischi @MarleeMatlin @elonmusk Neither is UX or data analysis or product innovation... But you still have experts to guide people in those areas. Twitter currently does not and with the fast pace of change Musk is trying to bring to the platform it'll be very easy for accessibility to fall behind.

I've seen a lot of people asking "why does everyone think Twitter is doomed?" As an SRE and sysadmin with 10+ years of industry experience, I wanted to write up a few scenarios that are real threats to the integrity of the bird site over the coming weeks.

My twitter feed is pretty hosed this morning - tweets from 2-3 days ago show up, rather than recent ones. This is painful to watch.
