Got an epinephrine shot at the dentist this morning. Felt my breathing dysregulate and tingling in my arms and legs, the sensations remained all day. Just did box breathing and after five minutes I felt shivers down my spine. I felt my nervous system recalibrating.

My grandfather passed away yesterday. Grief is a funny thing. As sad as I am my heart goes out to my grandma. They were married when they were 18 & 19 years old. They met when he was a soldier based in Colombia. I can’t imagine them not together. Hug your loved ones close.

Who’s building in the mental health + future of work space?

@aaronwhoughton Assuming investors believe in the founders to run a business, then at what point do they stop believe in their ability to take care of themselves? Support is great, always, full stop. Founders don’t need parenting aka permission.

Question that I think we’re not asking. Do founders need to get permission from their investors before they get the support they need to maintain their own mental health? Or can they - and should they - just get the support they need?

@lukehohmann @ericbahn Meh, companies with lots of customers and profits have lots of cash in their bank deposit accounts at SVB. That’s still very costly to just suddenly lose.

Founders: I hope that you paid very close attention to the behavior of certain VCs over the last four days. I hope this moment serves as a character test, to guide you to the types of partners you would like to work with in the coming years.
