@TheDegenWeekly ESPN went woke when they thought people liked hearing Stephen A Smith talk about anythng but sports. He’s a clown and all the others that followed after him are too.
English

I think the question is this - did ESPN start hiring poorly, or does this talent just not exist anymore?
The people that work at ESPN are not funny. Not even a little bit. If they try, it’s cringy. The people in this photo didn’t have to try at all. They were smooth criminals.

The decline from this photo, to the current state of ESPN

@LoopersProShop There should be a golf-related test everyone has to take before they can apply.

@JusstBecause @PolymarketBlitz You are fucking dumb. The skin moves when bitten. Try it on your arm dumbass

@ravensbias19 Scottie is horrible value this week at that price. LOL
English

I have never bet Scottie Scheffler pre tournament in my entire life but value is value
Absolutely shocked I haven't seen people betting the 3-1 this week
Scheff +310 outright single bullet
This guy was +275 in full fields not long ago. This field is absolute garbage. He's going from putting like a blind man to very comfortable bent. Hit the cover off the ball. It's sad but he's the winner by 3
Considering adding Scottie by margin props if I like the prices

@ShaneRyanHere It was actually way better than I thought it would be based on everyone else's opinion. I would watch a full episode before making this judgement.

@CaptainUniball @GPIngersoll Ochocinco was like 40 years old when he tried this
English

@GPIngersoll The ignorance and arrogance of people who've never played the game is always so obvious every 4 years. Ochocinco tried a pro soccer career and couldn't hack it in the minor leagues. You need very different skills & there is no 30sec break every 6sec to be told what to do next.
English

The funniest thing to me about the World Cup is how easily the NFL could dominate it as a side gig just for lulz.
Just give a cadre of practice squad wide receivers and corner backs like $4 million each to train the next four years to win the World Cup.
You think Quintavian Moore or Shidarius Coleman isn’t scoring three goals a game? Give either of them two years and they’ll embarrass Beckham’s whole legacy.

@hungryhorsepokr LOL and you turned all those hours into a 5 day coaching course! congrats man, moving on up!

when i hit my biggest downswing ever in poker, i called my girlfriend at the time and i said....
“i just dont know how much more of this i can take. its been 600 hours of getting my head bashed in.”
and she said something that stuck with me forever. she said, “every time something gets hard, you quit.”
and that stung. but i needed to hear it, because i was determined to prove her wrong.
i started playing 70+ hours per week, like a crazy person. id show up to the casino at 10am and start the game, and id play til 10 or 11pm that night. ii’d do that 6 days a week, and on my “off day”, id spend the entire day studying.
here’s what i realized: the winning players i saw everyday in LA when i first started playing, that were still around when i hit my first downswing, i could probably name this list of players on one hand.
because most people, myself included probably if i didn’t have my girlfriend, hit that big rough patch, and that’s where they stop. that’s where they give up. and that’s why most winning players don’t stick around long term.
but i didn’t want that to be my story. so, i eventually broke out of the downswing, climbed to some of the highest stakes games in LA, and earned 7 figures from poker.
and the girlfriend who wouldn’t let me quit? she’s not my girlfriend anymore.
i married her.

Brazil star Vinicius Junior is unrecognizable after chin surgery post World Cup trib.al/TWJotRX

English

@philthebeast_ Who could have guessed a nearly month long lay off would do that?
English

Heads up: apparently on the @X app now if you look at a person's X feed, their reposts will not be included. To see their reposts you now have to look at their "repost tab." Personally, I feel my reposts are an essential part of my feed, so to not allow people even the option to see a feed as an integrated whole seems to me incredibly dumb. But just letting you know in case you check my feed and don't see any reposts.

@JoeGravino @Chabotsports You don’t know how to google stats obviously. He’s been on tear

@RoyalsWeekly Batista only took 150k over slot, Vigue is shocking at 330K over slot
English

Rabe only takes $7k over slot. Most of the rest will prolly go to Battista.
Jim Callis@jimcallisMLB
Supplemental 1st-rder Taylor Rabe signs w/@Royals for $3,197,500 (slot 30 value = $3,190,500). @OleMissBSB RHP, one of best combos of stuff & strikes in @MLBDraft, mid-90s fastball up to 100 mph, mid-80s slider & upper-80s cutter are sharp, 4th in NCAA D-I w/7.0 K/BB ratio.

@ZGregJennings It's because the vast majority of pro-poker players take a net loss at the end of every WSOP season. Very top tier make a profit and a few guys that got lucky to win a big one. Rough living for 90%+ of the poker world. Run bad for years then bink a big one to pull back positive

Did you know…
The player who shoots the lowest score each day at @TheOpen receives a silver replica of their scorecard.
Ryan Fox, Cam Young, Sam Burns, Lucas Herbert and Jackson Suber will receive them this year.
