A Green activist told me the same. “Everyone had an Andy Burnham story”.

It’s over, Tom. Come and knock some doors and you’ll see it yourself. I’d hoped, for a long time, that he could make good but he never listened. “Not doing it by committee”was the commonly used phrase. Difficult. Awkward. Belligerent. The country has decided. The PLP has decided. This out MPs that want him to stay on for longer than the weekend are those that would only ever be in Ministerial jobs for making the tea. The longer Keir is hanging around the more difficult it is for us. Burnham wins, we have a chance. If Burnham loses the Labour Party is dead. So thanks for all you’ve done to try but it isn’t helping anybody including him.

Calling the only democracy in the Middle East an apartheid state (I grew up in South Africa by the way) where Atab Muslim citizens are judges, members of parliament, chairpersons of major banks etc is NOT respectful and constructive dialogue. @kajakallas

Dear Gideon, as you know, the EU and Israel have a lot that binds us. I value our dialogue and engagement, and I’m open to continue in that spirit, respectfully and constructively. Dialogue is the foundation of diplomacy, especially when differences arise. The EU is always committed to a constructive relationship with Israel. To bring peace to the Middle East, the Two-State Solution remains the only viable path. The EU has condemned the illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank that make it increasingly difficult to get to that goal. That is the EU position.

Israel just cut ties with the European Union's top diplomat.
After reports that EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas compared Israel to apartheid South Africa, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced he is ending all contact with her.
Good job Israel! Words have consequences. Today, Israel acted accordingly.
