@fwtospatho lol. if im only reading one a month it means im on my phone too much
English

A BOOK A MONTH??????
internet.lol@UHD4000k
@howlsponyo I feel like if you're speeding through books, like faster than a book a month, you're not reading anything super challenging. Try reading something for teens published before 1950. You should be stopping every few pages to look up words unless that genre is your jam.
Magyar

@Gothicshelah @sonaerly @tommo_foolery @fwtospatho Let's not assume that everyone who reads slowly is doing so because they are online. That's just ignorant. Some people just like to savour what they read. Reading is not a competition.
English

@sonaerly @tommo_foolery @fwtospatho They should also prioritize being online less and less fighting people on twitter who read more 🫠 maybe they will be able to read more than one book a month
English

@fwtospatho And if they do? So what? Reading is not a competition. And some people like to savour their books.
English

@soonrightaway I actually watched the first season (?) before it became a huge phenomenon. I thought it was cute and funny. I don't think it deserved all the hype it got, though.
English

@JauntyBarks @headnavy Back in MJ'S day, you had to actually leave your house, go to the store and buy an album or single. It didn't matter how many times you played songs, it all only counted for one sale.
English

@headnavy Yea.. cuz it was MUCH easier to sell music back then lol. Now 1,000 paid streams or 2,500 ad streams = 1 sale. Back then 1 sale = 1 sale. Now to get 1 sale a person has to stream the album all day every day the first week of release. Sick of people making dumb comments like this
English

The difference is Michael did it without streaming, and all of his number one hits are actually memorable.
Pop Base@PopBase
Drake officially surpasses Michael Jackson for the most #1’s among solo male artists with ‘Janice STFU.’
English

@mrcherrypie @Over_De_River @orleansway I feel like most of her perceived beauty and sex appeal in the black community comes from her being light-skinned.
English

@Over_De_River @orleansway Her face and sex appeal is top-tier
English

@orleansway Taylor Swift
Sabrina Carpenter
Lana Del Rey
JLo
Madonna
Justin Timberlake
Chris Brown
Rihanna
Drake
So, SO many more!
English

@Vinnie_LaMotte @NeverclipsonX The only reason anyone even talks about him and his lame brother is because the latter knocked up Halle Bailey.
English

@NeverclipsonX I’m so tired of these mfers disrespecting icons, they getting way too comfortable doing it, Mike could’ve stopped making music after Thriller and still would’ve been an icon, this dweeb will be forgotten about in 4 years, a STREAMER…
English

@cowboy_hive @KayyKova Uh... Dangerous came out in the 90's and spawned several MASSIVE hits. Wdym?
English

Beyonce hasn't had Michael Jackson level hits since the 2000s.
Ajijo A. Charles@Jimerald1
The 2 greatest artists of all time are black. King & Queen
English

@prettycritical So, they have been on two dates in Manhattan which is where she lives. But she thinks it is too much to take the subway to where HE lives once? I feel like that is a bit much. Some people (men and women) are terminally online and are ruining their dating experience.
English

@pimwald @howlsponyo And even on the topic of this specific post, it is relevant because OP took what OOP said, turned it into hyperbole, and then used the hyperbole they created to attack it. That is very similar to what is going on in the post.
English

@Kstar091 @howlsponyo Ironically you doing exactly that cause we’re not talking about other quotes
English

no way we acting like THIRTY books in 365 days is impossible without skipping things??
Ali B@wtflanksteak
Finding out people on booktok skip everything but dialogue makes reading 30+ books a year make a lot more sense.
English

@pimwald @howlsponyo ... You are not making any sense. Reread my original comment. It was a general statement about the reactions to the quoted post. Hence my use of "y'all".
English

@pimwald @howlsponyo Hyperbole is all well and good. But a lot of people seem to be taking this very seriously and not seeing it as that at all. Have you seen some of the quotes? It's giving:

English

@Kstar091 @howlsponyo Girl have you not heard of a hyperbole? Their intent is exactly what I said.
English

@ProudSocialist How can AI be smarter than humans when it literally needs aggregate data from humans for its "intelligence"?
English

@pimwald @howlsponyo (2/2) reviewing books as well. Regardless, my point still stands. Reading lots of books a year says nothing abour the quality of your reading abilities nor indeed the quality of the books themselves.
English

@Kstar091 @howlsponyo Maybe reading comprehension is actually what you’re struggling with bae? “Makes reading 30+ books a year make a lot more sense” implies that 30+ books isn’t a very achievable goal otherwise.
English

@gensdisciple @howlsponyo What kind of books do you read? Just curious.
English

@howlsponyo Full time job. Active social life. Strict exercise regimen. And I'm still reading at least 2 books a week on average as a generally slow reader like I don't get what the issue is if you consider yourself a dedicated reader
English

@alexisabloke @howlsponyo I read as a hobby and am not glued to my devices. I just also have other hobbies and interests. And because I work from home, I purposely do things in my spare time that take me out of the house.
English

@howlsponyo i read 44 last year without skipping anything. people are just so glued to their devices they forgot others enjoy reading. i quite literally had a coworker today get embarassed over the fact they havent read in so long when I was talking about my summer reading plans
English

@howlsponyo THANK YOU. I read usually about 200 books a year and I don’t skip. I have a job, a husband, and 2 kids. It’s just how I spend all my free time 🤷🏻♀️
