Today held a review meeting with Chief Engineers of all city corporations to identify the Top 100 Critical Roads across Bengaluru. 🔹 Each Zonal Chief Engineer will shortlist 10 key roads based on citizen feedback — covering potholes, footpaths, lighting, flooding, and black spots. 🔹 Focus is on long-term, durable road solutions beyond temporary fixes. 🔹 Any work by BWSSB/BESCOM on these roads requires GBA approval. 🔹 Weekly reviews will ensure accountability and continuous monitoring. Fine-tuning is now available for GPT-4o and GPT-4o-mini but I need somebody to help me understand why would anyone use this? Fine-tuning is hard, and it takes a significant investment from a company to get it right. Why would a company spend all of that time to fine-tune a model that OpenAI controls? • You can't download the model from OpenAI • You can't host it yourself • OpenAI will run "layered safety mitigations" on your fine-tuned model • (I'm not sure whether they can see and use see your data.) For *some* use cases, GPT-4o is the best model out there, so I understand you will want to take advantage of that. But the minute you need to fine-tune the model, you are giving up the out-of-the-box-great advantage. Can somebody help me understand?
