LFC fan born in the northwest, raised in the northeast. Gravy on chips. There’s a possibility I’ll disagree with you.

When I put forward that this season has similarities with the 20/21 and 23/24 seasons, I was met with the usual guff about "Identity". Yet people forget articles such as; "Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have lost their identity — and it’s hard to see how they get it back" @_ChrisBascombe 20/21 Why Liverpool's tactics have become so predictable" @Zonal_Marking 20/21 "Klopp’s Farewell Tour is Unravelling — and the Identity is the Issue" Following the April 2024 collapse (losses to Atalanta, Palace, and Everton) Klopp’s "2.0" project lacked the defensive structure of his first great team. Critics called the high-pressing style "exhausted" and "obsolete" in a league now dominated by the control-based systems of Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta. @TheAthleticFC

If Alonso won No 21 in his first season and then qualified for the champions league in his second would everyone be calling for his head? Say he and the squad also have to deal with the death of one of the major players would we be more say considerate toward him?
