🚨Gaza is starving. Gaza is BEING STARVED.🚨People are dying. People are BEING KILLED. 🚨The most destructive weapon is not dropping a nuclear bomb. The most destructive weapon is man-made hunger which will lead to the deaths of 2 million people if we do not stop it. The Sameer Project has been forced to stop food distributions that feed entire encampments and community kitchens that feed thousands, because we cannot find food or ingredients. We usually feed tens of thousands of people per week, now we can only find limited amounts of nutritional packets and some vegetables in the markets. When we do, this supply goes to the sickest patients in hospitals to keep them alive, and we will continue to do this. We are still able to supply water and we are still able to buy tents and provide medication. But soon this will not matter when people are dropping in the streets. 🚨Get LOUD. 🚨Protest. 🚨Disrupt. 🚨Continue to give so we can assist how we are still able to. Everyone in Gaza, their lives, quite literally depend on this. They depend on YOU. The Sameer Project will continue to do all we can, with your help, but soon this will be the end. The last few weeks have been filled with massacres and horrific scenes from Gaza. The occupation continues to massacre those sheltering in schools, people searching for aid, men, women, children, the elderly as they sleep - rubble collapsing on top of them. Donate here: chuffed.org/project/131676… . Doctors are fainting in hospitals from exhaustion and malnutrition. Children with chronic illnesses are dying from starvation. Journalists who are risking their lives to show the truth are suffering from the total lack of food. The tragedy in Gaza is incomprehensible while the world watches in silence. The genocide needs to end and the borders need to open but until that happens we need to continue to assist, to help people survive. The Sameer Project provides food (2,000+ meals per week), water (140,000 liters per day) and tents to those displaced. We also provide medical care including dental, wound changes, infectious diseases campaigns, life saving medication, and special care for complex cases. With Eid starting this week, we urge you to use your zakat and/or sadaqa money to support the people of Gaza who are still suffering after 19 months of genocide. Goods are scarce and war profiteering supported by the military occupation is at an all time high, so we need to do a big push and scale up efforts over the next week to prevent further deaths and illnesses. Eid Al Adha is a time of sacrifice to give to those less fortunate. We all have a responsibility to help those suffering the unimaginable in Gaza. The Eid campaign is zakat eligible.
