Unsure. Best timing for severe weather in and around the Omaha area is from now until 8pm. Storms are possible thereafter. Difficult to nearly impossible to predict storms at this time, due to the fact that the storm currently impacting Valley, well, according to several CAMs, shouldn’t be happening.

FIRST ALERT 6 WEATHER DAY is still in place but there are some GOOD trends for our area. Models continue to move the front through faster and earlier in the day. That means only afternoon storm potential and even that is trending into our SE counties.

Very nice satellite presentation with our developing surface cyclone over Nebraska. One thing I can immediately see is the lack of convergence along the dryline. This is why the warm front/occluded front is much easier to denote on satellite view because we have convergence in these zones. Likely will only see storms along the warm front unless a miracle happens. After seeing the 18z sounding from Omaha we have a stout cap to break near and north of Omaha.

Both shorter range models are way further west with the front on tuesday as well as a stronger trough. We shall see if things continue

@Chris73163 The scammer/hacker impersonated me and tried to sell stuff dirt cheap. Like too good to be true prices and made up a sad story about a fake sister in law. Asked for a deposit and I know of one person that fell for it.

My dad’s @facebook account of 20 years was hacked and he’s completely locked out. The recovery process fails of course because the hackers just change the email and phone number. They’re posting very real looking AI generated photos of my dad and his wife, claiming they bought a yacht and a big house thanks to a crypto investment. The posts encourage people to send a DM and learn how to invest. It’s really sad because I know some of his friends are going to think this is real and send money to the scammers. Anyone who comments to warn people just gets blocked and they delete the comment. It’s insane how little @Meta helps. We’ve had dozens of people reporting the account as hacked every day, and it’s still posting away without so much as a temporary suspension. He would happily pay for premium support (which today just means speaking to a human) but they offer no customer support at all. I don’t understand how these companies that are so critical to people’s lives and businesses can’t figure out how to offer support. Just make people pay a small fee when it’s urgent to cover the cost. The tragic part is that he had 2FA activated, but I think he was taken to a spoofed version of Facebook where he completed the login process and entered the 2FA code thinking that he was just logging into Facebook. The only silver lining is that scammers and AI may soon ruin the internet and make us more of an offline society again. We could probably all use some grass touching
