@MDoofis @DAGToddBlanche @POTUS Hearing starts June 29th: My best guess is hearing process is done and final rule to reschedule all marijuana issued before end of year, likely in Q3. Seems fast to me!

@SqueezeMetrics The fattest of all fat pitches in plain sight, well done 🍋
English

$84 was a stupid price.
But nor is there enough convexity at $103 to justify being long. Even if more infrastructure burns, you don't get $200 oil futures. A $200 barrel in a spot market does not translate to $200 futures.
It's been a nice, wide, tradable range. I'm outtie.

NYMEX front-month crude is now down to $84? What are we all, collectively, smoking?

@CitronResearch Zero borrow at Goldman and others. You are not short

1/5 Citron is short $VCX . $VCX is trading at $400+. Its assets are worth $19. SIMPLE MATH. The sponsor was fined by the SEC for paying 200+ influencers to promote their products without disclosure — willfully, for five years. They registered the domain GetVCX.com. Not VCXinfo. Not learnaboutVCX. Get. The domain name itself is the pitch. Their own prospectus discloses "Other Expenses – Marketing: 0.42%" charged to investors — roughly $3 million a year on a publicly traded security. Who is getting that money? . Full thread below. 🧵

@MichaelAArouet High marginal tax rates, entitlement cuts, surge in capital gain tax receipts from tech bubble. Not repeatable

@adamtaggart Margin debt as % of market cap no where near elevated levels

Why Solana, why DATs, why @HeliusHSDT $HSDT
A short thread 🧵

@Seawolfcap People are exaggerating actual duration held by banks/brokers and Schwab deposits are stickiest there is. This all fixes itself with either time (roll off and reinvest at higher rates = accretive) and/or decline in rates.
English

People tell me the BTFP fixes this but negative tangible equity isn't a positive.

Looking only at the $78M in AFS and $159M in HTM ($237M), and assuming these are all MBS that trade in line with the 10s, the 70bp back up rates will equate with a 6% loss in MBS, or $14.5B.

@HayekAndKeynes Currently annualizing close to $1T interest payments extrapolated over 75 years would be meaningful on this Y axis?

Will Social Security survive?
The government has a lot of unfunded liabilities but they also have a lot of future expected cash flow. Clearly the US has more IOUs than income but the magnitude of the situation isn’t as hopeless as some would leave you to believe by just dividing the delta by GDP. It will however require meaningful structural reform and some shifts in tax policy and ideally some growth focused policy to boost GDP (and taxes). To get things in balance.
If these don’t happen, which is entirely possible given the absence of adult leaders, then things will gradually get worse (I’m not an MMT believer).
