Happy 159th Dominion Day! 🇬🇧🍁⚜️ My new video is a song for an old poem by T. E. Moberly. It’s prayer for wise leadership after the death of Macdonald. I think the overall metaphor is that we must pick up the mantle of Macdonald to carry Canada forward to her rightful glory.

Albertan pioneer Sarah Ann Card recalls crossing the Canadian Border for the first time in 1889 and being met by two North-West Mounted Policemen. She was interviewed in 1961 and passed away in 1969 at the age of 98.

@QuinnTParent It’s a woman. At the time, Ireland or Ulster were usually portrayed as women, like Britannia. She was sometimes called “Hibernia.” It really goes back to Irish mythology, same as the Red Hand. Ireland (Eire) is named after the goddess Eriu.

@KyleEricks5458 @ArdentPardy And the Americans were already in our business before any "Great Flag Debate" wars. They helped the Brits when they attacked our parliament and when they slaughtered our boys on Canadian soil in '42.

@KyleEricks5458 @ZoomerHistorian "B-bb-but they included God Save the Queen in the UDI!!!" Yeah that's how it always starts. Still with a glimmer of hope that the monarchy and the British state is not a bunch of traitors at best or complete enemies at worst.

@KyleEricks5458 @ZoomerHistorian Nothing says loyalist like breaking away from the empire and establishing a republic which fights against genocidal black nationalist guerrillas supported by the Queen. The raped loyalism and cocksucking of the British monarchy by people in the dominions has to end.

@ArdentPardy @MPRC_Canada Well yes of course. You could that that some elements of that policy were starting to come into place since the 1920s. The flag was just the ultimate symbol of that policy coming to fruition.

@KyleEricks5458 @MPRC_Canada You're going to blame the flag for the loss of Canadian identity? It might have been a symptom, it sure as hell wasn't the cause - policy was the cause

@donaldbloompf Paradoxically they were indeed one of the last Loyalists strongholds, and the tragic thing is that the were ultimately betrayed.

@donaldbloompf They were in a tough situation but they believed they remained loyal to British institutions and civilization, opposing Parliament that was dismantling the Empire. If you look at their Declaration of Independence, you will notice that it still ends with “God Save the Queen.”

@KyleEricks5458 Before The Crown betrayed Rhodesia. Looks like it's doing the same thing concurrently to all of the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, so beware.

@crawf23346 Oh I’m not sure. You might be able to find some old news articles maybe. Here’s a couple, but they are from the 1920s.

@KyleEricks5458 Is there a list of names available. My grandparents arrived in Toronto from londonderry in 1912 and my grandfather would likely have signed up for this.

Men of the Ulster Volunteer Force in Toronto, Canada, c. 1913. All were originally from Tobermore, Co. Londonderry. Irish immigration to Canada was about 2/3 Protestant up to the 1930s.

Happy Glorious 12th! 🇬🇧🍁🫡 Here’s some old photos from Canada, which I intend to simply show that it was once a large part of our history here too.
