In Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018): railroad workers are actually working and they nail the track into the ground before moving onto the next nail until they finish. In Crimson Desert (2026): NPCs endlessly hit the same rocks without a purpose while clipping through them.

The Common People A term rarely used and known in the History of the Hundred Years' War in the XVth century, it became significant following the Battle of Agincourt. The Common People was the name given to soldiers and archers of humble, non-noble origins, provided by parishes to join the assembled French troops and armies. This concept arose after the massacre of knights at Agincourt, and as a matter of urgency, Charles VII decided to rely on all those, regardless of their origin and profession, who were willing to fight.

It's remind me of this war map in 1419 and that's where I tell myself... What a time to be alive as a simple peasant. The high nobility starts a civil war. Banditry increases. And now an invasion was necessary. There are so many events, and unknown historical figures to share.

For those interested in the game KCD and its historical war setting, today, March 23rd, 1403, marks the sacking of Skalitz in Bohemia. The Margraves Moravian Wars, which began in 1380 and ended in 1405, are among the many little-known and underestimated conflicts. Dozens of villages were pillaged, and towns and forts were besieged, largely forgotten due to a lack of detail and lost records. There were dozens of similar sackings like Skalitz, including one that ceased to exist altogether: Cakovice, east of the city of Kolin. Finding names, statistics, and events from these wars is like finding gold nuggets, and I hope to write posts with details about this conflict, which Warhorse wanted to commemorate. Like other medieval wars, this one is filled with dark secrets and incredible twists.

In places, Second World War tank tracks overwrite the cart tracks. Lying in one is even the rusted remains of a tank fire extinguisher. And in places, actual tank tracks have been reused as bollards.

I am reminded of my last visit to the @I_W_M to view the @LordAshcroft collection. Ending up in a discussion with a staff member I asked what was going into that exhibition space. “I think they have found something better” came the reply. 🤬😔

My comment piece in The Mail on Sunday (@MailOnline) on my joy that the National Army Museum (@NAM_London), rather than Imperial War Museums (@I_W_M), is to display my collection of VCs and GCs

.@richmondie. No doubt they did, but I doubt the peasants of 16th-century Oxfordshire could afford to indulge such tastes. Devastating point, though.

@ClarkeMicah "in their gray-and-brown homespun" - cliche about the olden dayes no. 94. They loved bright colours.

@RMBee That gif of Henry Hill laughing hysterically to the point his eyes are bulging out is from a scene where he's only pretending to laugh because he's terrified of the other guy, but that hasn't stopped it being used millions of times.

Paul’s Jihad in Dune Messiah caused the death of 61 Billion, the sterilization of 90 planets, the end of 40 religions. The embrace of Paul’s War Chant (which IS awesome) by TikTok is a perfect metaphor for the future of Gen Z. No understanding of the power of reading.

@TearShapedHeart "Scalpers all did GW a massive favour and bought all the kits that noone else actually wants (the exact opposite of their usual business model)" seems to be the one playing out.

@JackieD86388657 Yes it certainly is funny to claim that a guy who shaves his beard, drinks and promotes alcohol, has his home covered in Orthodox icons, makes regular trips to Mt. Athos, had an Orthodox priest at side during cancer treatment and goes to church every Sunday, is a secret Muslim.
