This killed so many companies today. Another example of AI is a feature not a product. AI should supplement your product, not be the product.

@DataShaun City's control of the airport is also something that probably needs discussed. I'll be interested to see how it is factored into the consolidation conversation.

@KyleJFrost I get that the airport is a thing that the city already controls, so it reduces the friction. The location in real estate really does matter. TBH the last place I wanna stay when I’m traveling for work is near the airport

This is absolutely ridiculous. Who wants to stay at a luxury hotel at the airport? What’s the draw? A leisurely stroll by the wastewater treatment facility? A picnic amongst the city’s solar panel fields? This is another example of the woeful mismanagement of the airport. Focus on the basics: more routes, cheaper fares, more travelers. A luxury hotel? This airport is more hopeless than I thought.

Something of a chicken and egg situation right? If there's no one there to buy the commercial stuff, why build it there? Hotels are popular at airports for people that travel for work, and people travel here often because we are the state capital. Commercial development around it would likely increase if there was a captive audience staying at a hotel (the type of hotel is a different convo). Just my opinion. Our airport needs serious work, that part is for sure.
