@alleria_eh Spending doesn't need to be taken way from our military to support the snowbirds. Take funding away from things such as "gender just rice" and other bullshit foreign aid and you got plenty of money to spend within Canada.

Unpopular opinion: I don't care Canada is grounding the snowbirds. I understand people see them as an important part of our Canadian identity but they are just entertainment. We have more important things to spend money on, specifically our actual military. They aren't being grounded forever. This is just temporary as the planes are no longer safe. I want our pilots safe rather than them risking their lives for entertainment purposes in out of date planes. Sorry but this is just first world problems.

Most of Mindy Kaling's early career was full of punchlines and witty comebacks about how she would never lose weight because she was content with her curves and disinterested in conforming to the unfair beauty standards. Now she says she achieved her drastic weight loss by "food moderation," hiking, and strength training. The fat celebs and influencers only hid behind the battle cry of body positivity in the past because they couldn't conform to the beauty standards. But now that Ozempic is here, they can and so they do. Good for her, she looks great. But let's not pretend this is due to hiking.

There are healthy ways to go about it, but the issue is, everyone wants the quick fix these days.
