Using the Pentagon podium to lash out at journalists in extreme biblical terms is unprecedented, misguided, and frankly wrong on the substance. Ever since Sunday School Catholic classes, I have been well aware of the Scribes and the Pharisees. They were the bad guys against Jesus, the good guy… in current U.S. good v evil war parlance. Bearing witness to the truth is what we journalists are commanded to do, without fear nor favor.
I am also well aware of the Ten Commandments, and therefore urge any government radical anywhere, to follow the 9th… against bearing false witness.
And finally an observation: the current Secretary of War, f/k/a Defence, left the military with the rank of Major. I recall my dogtag in the first Gulf war had the rank of major... the very same rank. Just sayin’!

@GsuGrinding My very first case in court in front of a judge (27 yrs ago) was getting a restraining order for a lady who got the shit beat out of her. Guy cut the phone cords, peed on her, broke her ribs and nose. It shaped me as an atty.

An Alabama woman is headed to trial today for wearing a penis costume at a "No Kings" protest while holding a sign that read "No Dick-Tator." It's hard to think of a clearer example of a sham prosecution that flies in the face of the First Amendment.

This is a good and necessary apology.
Frankly, it baffles me how much time Supreme Court Justices seem to have to fly around getting feted at various campuses.

Sounds like you just want a show with white, cis men.

DEI isn't about providing care... it's about injecting identity-based assumptions (like 'systemic bias against Black patients' or mandatory gender affirmations) into multiple interactions amongst characters in a very heavy handed.
Basic medical ethics is treating the bleeding, the pain, or the injury the same way for everyone. The show turns medicine into a classroom for those previously mentioned DEI agendas.

Noah Wyle doesn’t seem to have a very high approval rating on this app despite the fact I think he’s part of one of tbe best shows on television. His work on The Pitt is as good as TV gets if I’m being honest. But whenever I write about Wyle, he gets a lot of hate. It confuses me

Nowhere did I suggest anyone shouldn't treat all patients the same. That's basic medical ethics.
What I criticized is injecting heavy-handed storylines about 'bias against Black patients' or gender identity corrections into a medical drama as if that's the core of emergency care. That's not realism, at least not where I live, because my friends that work in relatives says the bleeding is real, but the ultra white people are propaganda.
