@SonnieJohnson By eliminating their representation diluting mostly black cities that consistently vote blue with red rural white people.

Worried how Republicans will handle the Black vote? Me too, if I'm honest. But, if Black votes can't guarantee a certain number of Congressional seats, will Democrats continue to care? I mean, Dems shouldn't need a law to honor the alliance they've held with Black America for 80 years, right?

@Kyle_lowen @queenie4rmnola Do you see the snake like district? It was gerrymandered solely to make it majority black. That is unconstitutional. Just like if it was gerrymandered to make it all white.

@IsaiahLCarter So where is the black democratic representation in the new map? It’s all red despite majority black cities like New Orleans consistently voting blue.

Democrats will no longer be able to draw congressional maps based on skin color. We defeated racism.

What a great week: ✅Texas map upheld in court ✅Florida officially passes new map ✅SCOTUS bans race-based districts With these developments, the GOP can net 22 seats in Congress

We are so close to legally and politically locking Dems out of power This is why accelerationism isnt thw answer Winning is possible with a little bit of political will
Rich Baris THE PEOPLE'S PUNDIT@Peoples_Pundit

Now, get the citizenship question on the next U.S. census, pass the Save Act, and Democrats are FUCKED. They cannot win without gerrymandering and counting illegal aliens. They'd lose the House and Presidency for years despite Republicans largely being frauds.

If you really want to enjoy the SCOTUS ruling, scroll through this dude's timeline to see how red state districts would now look sane vs blue state districts that are absolutely bonkers. Bear in mind this dude is mad about the ruling. He's livid. Adds to the entertainment.
Zachary Donnini@ZacharyDonnini

Mississippi is the most Black state, and its lone Democratic district would seem protected even under the narrowest possible interpretation of the VRA. However, reading Elena Kagan’s dissent, it appears she believes the door is at least slightly open for a 4-0 map.

Democratic gerrymandered maps all have insane narrow tentacles reaching across the entire state to reach the nearest urban core, Republican ones are always nice and compact and tidy, making sensible contiguous districts that put together voting blocs with shared interest Vote Republican: Eliminate border gore

Zachary Donnini@ZacharyDonnini

If Republicans aggressively gerrymander the South and eliminate up to 10 Democratic seats under a narrowed VRA, Democrats could become desperate and respond with absurd maps in blue states. This 17-0 Illinois map could become legal, flipping three seats from 🔴 to 🔵.

With the redistricting war and the VRA getting effectively gutted it's almost impossible for dems to get a majority in the house anymore. The midterms are ours.

@KnowingBetterYT fwiw, gerrymandering their maps to favor Republicans would not necessarily be "racist". They're not intentionally disenfranchising black voters; they're intentionally disenfranchising D voters.

@trouble_man90 Hey Tim maybe you should stop bootlicking failed politicians and ask for them to run on policies that Americans actually want. Dems lost to the most beatable candidate of all time twice and you’re still dickriding the corporate Dems that got us here.

@queenie4rmnola It is unconstitutional to gerrymander maps by race. And that is exactly what dems were doing in Louisiana. Just because you don't like it that you can't cheat does not mean it is wrong.

What today’s SCOTUS ruling on Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act in Louisiana could mean in terms of House seats across the South. This was a massively important and consequential Court ruling.
