As a game with young competitors, Fortnite pros aren’t aware of how volatile this industry is, and moreso where the direction of the game is going.

I wish this guy was smoking crack when he said that LPs “prefer the volatility laundering”. If not this is just pure dishonesty. Valuation methodology is always an LP DD item. Not sure which ding dong LP would drink the kool aid together with a ding dong GP.

Not clear to me this is a big issue. I’ve heard many LPs specifically say they prefer the volatility laundering. And I’m not sure who is particularly adversely affected by this. Maybe start up employees? By 409a valuations are pretty accurate / conservative. Liquidity the far bigger issue.

My son, Saxon, is so based that he would just order milk when we went to dinner in LA. This would always stun the waitstaff, as they had never heard anyone actually order milk!
He also unironically ordered a cheeseburger at a very uptight sushi restaurant that doesn’t even allow you to order supplemental soy sauce. When the waiter recovered from this request to reply that they don’t have cheeseburgers, Saxon said “Fine, I will have a hamburger.”
