$TSLA 🇰🇷 BREAKING : Tesla Korea delivered 11,130 vehicles to customers during the month of March. The figure is quite a surprise. Tesla has recorded its highest monthly sales since entering the Korean market in 2017. That's an incredible number, and I can see how much Koreans care about Tesla. Look at the incredible charts!

@SpeechifyAI Please fix the android app. Its super buggy, randomly switches voices while reading text, and the kindle integration doesnt work very well (skips lines and sometimes paragraphs, the voice bugginess is worse)

@Kurrco Such a moronic take. Im supposed to like an artist before giving their album a listen?? That defeats the purpose of even giving a review. I think he's just tired of being called mid and he just crashing out rn. Cuz in that case, i could be somewhat empathetic lmao.

J. Cole says streaming made it too easy for people to have opinions on albums they never really cared about in the first place: “You don’t even give a f*** about this artist... you just see a conversation happening and you want to be a part of the conversation.” (via Lost In Vegas)

We are rapidly creating technology that could surpass human intelligence, with enormous risks to jobs, society and humanity itself. AI must work for all of us, not just a handful of billionaires. That’s why I’m handing it over to China.

@logisti00 @romanhelmetguy ...on AI in general. This affects Chinese strategy. If they had all the compute they needed and were ahead, they wouldnt be open source

@logisti00 @romanhelmetguy 1. This whole line of argumentation is orthogonal. Again: what on earth does this have to do with the interests of the united states? 2. Seedance is the only chinese model thats frontier, and even thats only because google hasnt released in a while. Again, the us is ahead...

@romanhelmetguy China is the only country offering open-source models. It's clear they share their artificial intelligence with everyone, unlike American companies.

@USKnightTemplar @niccruzpatane 1. If your road trip is not cross country, this is even better actually. If youre not using uo more tham 300 miles, you dont need to charge during your trip 2. EV sales rose right before the credit was cancelled. A lot of the fall is just people having bought their cars sooner

This is always funny to hear. Batteries in a Tesla are designed to last at least 300,000 to 500,000 miles. That’s roughly 15–35+ years for average drivers (assuming 12,000–15,000 miles/year). Plus, every new Tesla comes with an 8 year warranty on the battery.

@theficouple The battery replacement is a killer. That has kept us out of the EV game so far.

@USKnightTemplar @niccruzpatane miles without stopping, 90% of people go on one road trip or less per year. Products have target demographics. It would be the height of stupidity for 90% of people to make a car purchase based on whether their annual road trips takes 4 vs 5 hours

@USKnightTemplar @niccruzpatane Retarded argument. Teslas do roughly 300miles on the low end, 500 miles on a charge with the model S. Unless your family has black hole bladders, youre going to need to stop before your car needs a charge And even if it were the case that your road trips needed to be 1k...

@USKnightTemplar @niccruzpatane Companies dont place things under warranty over their full useful life. How long a product is designed to last is not how long your warranty would be available for, otherwise the car business would not be viable

@jchybow If my rough math is right, that would cost Tesla $2 billion+ per year, a cost that would go up ~20% per year.

@AaronMLong @JohnLeePettim13 There are no commercial evs at 2800kg with a 400kwh battery. What stupid numbers are these? For 300km range, you only need about 40kwh. Youre off by an order of magnitude

Hydrogen is the stupidest, most ridiculous, and most impossible energy alternative. It takes 5 to 10 times more energy than it returns. This has been known since 2004, yet hydrogen refuses to die. It is far from renewable because it contains no energy at all—energy must be forced into it like a battery—and you lose even more when converting it back to electricity. It has the worst energy return of any alternative: far more energy goes in than you ever get back. Consider the process: you first split hydrogen from natural gas or use far more energy to electrolyze it from water, then compress or liquefy it, build extremely expensive and short-lived steel containers and pipelines (since hydrogen embrittles them), and finally deliver it to virtually non-existent hydrogen vehicles. Fuel cell technology remains far from commercial. It is also highly explosive. Hydrogen requires 12 times less energy to ignite than gasoline vapor, so the smallest spark or heat source can turn it into a bomb.

@xdNiBoR Surely you can see the attack surface here? Like its a huge opsec risk on its own Youre fine with this because people dont care about european politics as much. But for people whose state of affairs are a punching bag for people with no stakes, the current regime sucks

@xdNiBoR "Learning from mistakes" thats not whats happening. Whats happening is third world muslims spamming "jew" everytime someone pushes back against islam. This ability is assymetric. Noone cares about third world politics. Everyone cares about western politics

If you do think that geo blocking is a good feature, can you explain why exactly? Are you afraid of different opinions? I tend to learn the most when I debate or listen to people from all over the world. It is cool to compare my experiences with people from somewhere else. If we are talking about politics, no system is perfect (not even yours Americans). It is good to understand mistakes from other countries so that you can prevent making the same ones.

Is this really what we want on X? Do we really need more ways to start living in a bubble? If I wanted to do that I would go to Reddit 🤔 I get that it might help reduce slop and spam, but isn't that the task of the algo to fix?
