@Just_Some_Guy29 @JoshACarpenter Are you sure? When you invest money into an event, and the event gets "postponed", it seems perfectly normal to ask for all of that money back instead of just rolling it into the new "postponed" event. Nothing suspicious about that at all.

The statement from the state of Louisiana on the postponement of the LIV tournament in New Orleans. I don't think this first line was by accident.

@MarkMcD33489186 @ShaneRyanHere The nice thing about a company folding is that you don't even have to announce layoffs. They just kind of happen. "Technically you're not fired. It's just that your employer no longer exists".

@ShaneRyanHere Could have been worse; at least they didn’t announce layoffs at LIV, cancelling a whole tournament seems much better than losing your job.

@ShaneRyanHere June in NOLA has always been a terrible idea. MUCH better idea to hold an event there in the fall. Not a lot of college or pro football fans in the Crescent City.

@jkohout19 @ProGolfCritic They're stepping on the gas peddle as hard as they can, but when there's no fuel in the tank, it doesn't really do much. It's the thought that counts.

This is a good idea. NO in June was always a terrible idea (I’ve said that since it was official). If NO says no, then they can move it.
David Rumsey@_DavidRumsey

Now this is interesting from @NOLAnews, which reports it was LIV, not the city, that is calling off June's event. LIV reportedly wants to reschedule a "smaller, exposition-style tournament this fall."

@ProGolfCritic @Noleee04 They're "pivoting" to a league that is streamlining by getting rid of things like "prize money" and "actual events". It's a pretty brilliant strategy. Just happy the guys who went to LIV are finally realizing their dream of playing less golf.

@Noleee04 1st LIV wants to move it 😂 2nd we’ve been saying this timing was terrible with guys doing Open qualifying immediately after. 3rd plenty of DPWT events to use as tune ups. 4th great idea to pivot. 💯

@BrodyAMiller The innovative re-envisioned event will be streamlined by avoiding extraneous things like "a purse". New business model to exploit the efficiencies gained by "not paying players".

A state source says the two sides agreed to revisit talks for a "reimagined fall event," with LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil suggesting a weekend-only, invitational style event. LIV Golf does not have any current fall season. nytimes.com/athletic/72346…

LIV Golf Louisiana will be postponed, a source tells @TheAthletic. Shortly after LIV said the 2026 season goes on "full throttle," an event is moved two months out due to LIV's changing situation. LIV will return the hosting fee back to Louisiana. nytimes.com/athletic/72346…

Trevor Moore is in favor of DJ Smith returning as LA Kings head coach next season: "I thought that he really got the best out of a lot of guys. He really got us to play hard as a group. So, yeah; I'd be open to it, for sure."

@ChristianHeiens @Banner_Lord7 @HelmerVA Using the rules to your advantage and hoping your opposition doesn't use the rules their advantage isn't hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is whining like a bitch and calling it a "hostile occupation" when the other side uses the rules to their advantage. You should stop being a bitch.

Democrat Delegate @HelmerVA drew this new 7th District explicitly so he can run for it himself. His house is located at the very edge of the district in Fairfax County. A good first use of this tactic would be to vote in the August 4th primary for whichever Democrat has the BEST chance of defeating Helmer. Dan fucked over rural Virginia to further his own political ambitions. It would only be fitting for us to fuck him back.
Christian Heiens 🏛@ChristianHeiens

I will 100% be voting in the Democratic primary for the 7th District lobstermander, and I encourage all Right-wing Virginians to do the same. There are two strategies when doing this, depending on the environment and the district in question: 1) Vote for the most idiotic candidate who can win to ensure that Dems have lightning rods in Congress that the Right can fundraise and organize against. 2) Vote for the most Right-wing candidate who can win and subvert the Democratic Party from within. Either works for different reasons.

President Trump won 46% of the Vote in the State of Virginia. Before this vote there were 6 Democrats and 5 Republicans representing the people in the house. To "restore fairness" the Dems will now carry the state 10-1. This is certainly a victory for democrats but how is it fair
Barack Obama@BarackObama

Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.

Random pic of the day that popped up on my iPhone. Probably the easiest one since I started doing this, but this is still a cool photo. Ron Whitten and I selected this hole as one of the 18 best built since 2000 (2000-2020).

@MorrisBubba @Adam_Eckersley @NoLayingUp I don’t know much about Lucid, but startups that are successful are often unprofitable for years because they take the money they earn to improve their product. LIV is guaranteed to be in a huge loss position each year before the first ball of the year is in the air.

@MorrisBubba @Adam_Eckersley @NoLayingUp Those companies earn revenue that they put back into the business, which is why they aren’t “profitable” from a balance sheet perspective. They’re generally OK from a cash flow perspective. LIV has spent four years or so just lighting money on fire.

@ThorbjornOleZyn @KylePorterNS Dude, they’re done. They’ve squeezed all they can out of this from a PR perspective, and no one gives a shit. There’s nothing in it for the PIF anymore. There are no long term returns.

@KylePorterNS Losing $ was the only way to get a tour off the ground, especially with the no-owgr and pgat hostility. You don’t get Rahm and Bryson without offering those players insane money. They invested this money for long term returns not immediate profits. Still don’t think they’re done

"This notion of, 'Do you have to raise money?' Probably. This is business." They have gone through *$5 billion* in less than four years with almost nothing to show for it so it doesn't seem like it's a very good one. To continue down that path, LIV will have to unearth an investment entity that is either ... 1. Foolish or 2. Desperate or 3. Interested in something other than traditional business x.com/TeeTimesPub/st…

Today is April 15th, tax day. My father Irwin Schiff referred to it as the real April Fool's Day, as on this day millions of Americans volunteer to pay a tax that no law actually requires them to pay. For years my father asked the IRS to show him the law, but they never did.

There will be a time for a string of the screenshots I took today, calling me a fuckface or dickhead or an idiot. (There is A LOT) But that day is not today. But i will say this. I wouldn’t put out something this serious without being 99.99% sure I was right. I spoke with numerous people last night about what I had and if it was enough. These are people I trust and would shoot me straight. They all said I was good. And I trusted my sources 1000%. I know the responsibility of what that tweet would mean. And I made sure I was as close to certain as i could be. I wouldn’t have put it out without knowing I had the goods. So for the people who said I was an asshole, or dipshit. It’s too late to delete them, look forward to posting the string.
