BREAKING: Carney took his wife and daughter. The cost of in-flight food & hotel was $230,000+. For a short trip to the Vatican, from May 16-19th. That doesn’t include the flight, fuel, the pilots, security, salaries and the incredible amount of overhead. Meanwhile, food bank use is at an all-time high. This is out of touch. Abusive. And insane.

$94,000 for in flight catering on a single trip. What a slap in the face to Canadians. The same guy told us that we will have to make sacrifices. This is infuriating.

Most Canadians don't know that ON Superior Ct Justice McLean deemed the Ottawa protest peaceful & lawful - TWICE. On FEB 7/2022, he gave an order of "NO HONKING after 10PM" and said: "Defendants & other persons remain at liberty to engage in a peaceful, LAWFUL & safe protest" On FEB 16/22, he continued that no honking order, again writing: "Defendants & other persons remain at liberty to engage in a peaceful, LAWFUL & safe protest." I was on the ground in Ottawa in February 2022 as a lawyer, watching lawful Canadians confronted with extraordinary state power. Today, the Federal Court of Appeal confirmed what many of us saw firsthand. The invocation of the Emergencies Act powers "were overbroad to the extent that they criminalized the entire protest and limited the right to expression of protesters who wanted to convey dissatisfaction with government policies.” This ruling matters.
