@emily4MK Thanks for raising. What about those forced to settle even though they couldn’t afford it. I was forced to settle and paid HMRC £80k which wiped out my future pension savings. I bet I don’t get £5K back from HMRC. Many people liabilities are much higher than £5k.

As Vice Chair of the Loan Charge APPG, I want to see justice brought to these victims and I was glad to bring this up again in the Chamber yesterday.

The loan charge scandal has affected the lives of so many across the UK, putting individuals through unimaginable amounts of distress.

@NimPamer @DoctorBeet @keithmgordon It was a blanket appeal for member enquiries opened in 2013 for years 08/09, 09/10 and 10/11. It was sent from Accomplished Accounting (AAT) for employees of Palmrock and Arnica.

@LC_SoldierAnt @DoctorBeet @keithmgordon I was with Palmrock. Was the appeal a blanket one, or did you have to ask to join one? I vaguely remember Horizon was proactive in challenging HMRC enquiries during 2000 to 2010

I have a limited update on the s684(7A)(b) letters which have been issued to catch the years taken out of the loan charge by the Morse review. HMRC seem to have withdrawn some, effectively allowing the taxpayer to win his/her appeal without the case going to the Tribunal. 1/4
