Great reception in Lee Green today! Some residents were concerned when they thought we were Labour campaigners, but once we told them it was their local Lib Dem team, their mood changed entirely. On May 7, only the Lib Dems can beat Starmer’s Labour in Lee Green.

We are concerned to hear Labour is risking mental health services for young people to score political goals as they try to save their skin ahead of the election. Either you believe in full funding for children services or you don’t.

As more London councils become competitive, it is sickening that the response to it is more NIMBYsm. Swathes of people are turning away from Labour & Tories because their lives are getting worse - for many, in significant part to the housing crisis. Less housing not the answer.

Development of 18 new council houses on Morton Road in Islington blocked over NIMBY concerns including that the new flats would block the view of fireworks from some other flats. Over 16,000 people on the social housing waiting list in Islington. @IslingtonLabour caved.

In London one of the main problems are that late night licensing is controlled by local councils with no incentive to think city, let alone generationally or economy wide. Licensing should be in the hands of the Mayor to zone.
