It's that time of year again: May heralds our annual 100 mile challenge. This year it's the Hunnypot Hundred in Kent - the main event will be the BH weekend at the end of the month, and this weekend it's the marshals' walk. They'll be setting off at 10am.Good luck to all!

PS The checkpoint fare is usually tea and cake - no gels or powders in sight!

We can recommend our events - they aren't races and there are no prizes, but runners are welcome to take part. Even we would struggle to make an event break even at £6 entry, but most of our shorter events (20-30 miles) are £10-20. For a 50 miler usually £30-40.

Undoubted star of the event: walker who wanted to retire at 30 miles and take a taxi home. She couldn't get one... so she figured she'd have to keep on walking as she had no other option. She finished!

Another successful A Coventry Way challenge - organised jointly by the ACW Association and Heart of England LDWA group. 42 miles through a mixture of town and country.

The Birmingham Canal Canter is known for its cake competition. As usual, this year's event has attracted a strong field, but the chocolate and hazelnut layer cake is going to be very difficult to beat.
