@orlacsm we had just won the league with slot… id agree with you more if he was leaving after a season like this one but you cant say it when he left last summer, just shows that even playing for a title winning Liverpool wasnt enough and he was going regardless of the manager

If true this might be a contributing factor to Salah leaving but not the only one. There was never a chance both would be here next season. Personally though I think this is just media talk and that Liverpool will make a change in the summer, unless we win the Champions League.

There must have been some within Liverpool's hierarchy and/or ownership desperate to see him leave this summer, because why else would they sacrifice £30m-£50m in a transfer fee?
'Respect for the player' does not seem a plausible explanation.

They have sounded out replacements in recent weeks and it could be a summer of change on and off the pitch, with discussions over Salah’s future starting before he went away to the Africa Cup of Nations either side of Christmas. Chelsea currently have one of the worst managers to have managed in the Premier League, so that’s one advantage we’ve got. Also hope Isak can make some kind of contribution
