The culture always starts top-down with the manager and if the manager's let it deteriorate then there's not much the players can do. Even legends like Mo. From what I've read on Souness's dreaded tenure in the early 90s; demolishing the bootroom etc., this feels similar

Made a point to emphasise how much pride he took in helping to change the culture in that recent Sky vid. Our standards are now below Mo's so it makes sense that he's ready to call it a day.
