⚖️ DA lays criminal charges against former Gauteng Health CFO Lerato Madyo Today, 16 October 2025, the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng is laying criminal charges against former Health CFO Lerato Madyo at the Johannesburg Central Police Station. Madyo failed to act on slain whistleblower Babita Deokaran’s warnings about fraudulent transactions at Tembisa Hospital — a corruption scandal now exceeding R2 billion. She is among a small group of suspects believed to have tipped off the masterminds behind Babita’s assassination. 🚨 The DA delegation leading today’s charge: • Solly Msimanga MPL – Leader of the Official Opposition • Jack Bloom MPL – DA Gauteng Shadow MEC for Health • Madeleine Hicklin MPL – DA Gauteng Spokesperson for Health This action sends a clear message: “No one who protected corruption or betrayed whistleblowers will escape justice.” 📍 Details: 🗓️ Date: Thursday, 16 October 2025 🕙 Time: 10:00 📍 Venue: Johannesburg Central Police Station The DA stands firmly for justice for Babita Deokaran, accountability in government, and the protection of all whistleblowers who risk their lives to expose corruption. #DAatWork #RescueSA #DA_GPL #JusticeForBabita #Accountability #TembisaHospital
