I was thrilled to tour the future DC LGBTQ+ Center in Shaw. I'm proud to have fought for and help win $1 million in the FY25 budget to complete this center. It will house many of the District’s LGBTQ-focused organizations and serve as a refuge for many community members.

Today, I sent a letter to my colleagues calling for changes to the Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs and new investments in DC's LGBTQ+ community. With more LGBTQ+ residents per capita than any other jurisdiction, we must address disparities and increase transparency.
