Based on student interest, we continue to celebrate Chinese New Year in our classroom. Today the S's wanted to make a dragon! When finished, we took the dragon and our lanterns on a parade through the halls. So much joy and laughter! @TVDSBKinder @louisearbourfi

some prominent edupeople are speaking out against inquiry-based learning —and not just that— they specifically want to stop children from low-income areas from doing inquiry-based learning. can’t decide if it feels more like “they can’t handle it” or “they don’t deserve it” 🤔

@EDUwithEmily Maybe it’s time that schools changed. Maybe adopting a program that is closer to an early years program (play based, child development focus) would help everyone in the long run.

Just so we are clear… School is not the same thing as daycare. Teaching is not the same thing as babysitting. Education is not the same thing as childcare.
