I’m 16. I play because I love my sport and my team. Watching @sophaller say it out loud — that girls shouldn’t have to give up fair competition or our privacy — meant more than she’ll ever know. When a WNBA star says it, maybe people finally listen. I know what it’s like to have your voice on this treated like it’s hateful. It isn’t. ““Today marks the last day, 4 years ago, that I got to hug Aubrynn Grundy. We picked her up at 9:41 a.m. in Niagara Falls, New York. She napped in the front seat on the drive home so she could lean back comfortably. She didn’t have a fever, but her skin felt cold to the touch. When we got back into town, we stopped at Meijer to pick up a cake for Finn. July 19th was his 3rd birthday. We wanted to celebrate even though none of us had slept all night. It was around 6:30 p.m. when Aubs said she wanted to stay in the car while we ran in. We grabbed what we needed, drove the ten minutes home, lit Finn’s candle, and sang him happy birthday. Aubrynn sat at the table with us, smiling, before she said she wanted to go lay down. I stayed up cleaning. Adam was exhausted from the 2 a.m. drive to New York and had already gone to bed. Around 8 p.m., Aubrynn got up, grabbed my Epsom salts, and started a hot bath. When she was done, we made soup and sat in the living room, chatting about her trip. She told me how expensive Boston was and that Salem, Massachusetts, was one of her favorite places. After a few bites of soup, she said, “I think that’s all I can eat right now.” I took her dish and told her I was going to lay down too since Finn would be up early and I needed to get ready for his birthday party on the 22nd. She went to her room, and I went to mine. I wish so badly I had stayed up with her just a little longer. I wish I had hugged her tighter, breathed her in, told her how much I loved her and how glad I was that she was home. I wish I had asked if she wanted me to lay with her. This new life is haunting. It is terrifying. It is crippling. It hurts to wake up. It hurts to do new things. It hurts to visit places we went or places we planned to go. It kills me to see her photos, to think of her smile, to remember how healthy she was before the Covid vaccine. If I could change one thing, it would be putting my foot down and telling her no, she couldn’t go on that trip. We could have planned a summer vacation instead. Living with that guilt is killing me a little more every day. I miss my child. “Israel isn’t Israel.” “Israel is the Church.” I hear this a lot. If you read your Bible, you’d know that it clearly talks about the world turning against Israel in the last days. We are talking a full out war against Israel - and then the second coming occurs! Jesus actually comes to defend Israel against the nations rising up against Israel. The Bible says Jesus’s physical feet will land on the Mt. of Olives, east of Jerusalem-splitting the Mount in two- all found in the book of Zechariah. So, if Israel isn’t Israel are these places in Israel not in Israel? Is the Mt. of Olives not the Mt. of Olives? Is Jerusalem not Jerusalem? Where then are these places now? If the church is Israel where is this battle taking place? Australia? I mean it can’t be current Israel if there is no Israel and the church is Israel. Is the whole church there? Define church? Maybe, just maybe Israel is Israel and the Mt. of Olives is the Mt. of Olives and Jerusalem is Jerusalem. Maybe God knew Israel would be Israel when he had the Prophet Zechariah write what would be coming- because God is sovereign- outside of time. Maybe God saw it all as it is now because He CAN see it all. Even if one denies all this, one has to take a pause to look at our world right now. One has to see this growing animosity for a nation called Israel. I mean, out of all the nations in the world - here we have a nation called Israel and we have the Mt of Olives and we have Jerusalem- all here right now. And out of all the nations in the world we are witnessing a growing animosity against this nation called Israel -as God’s word said would be. You may call it pure happenstance, all a coincidence, I see it as spoken words by the Creator being fulfilled.

Nobody profits from telling you the body heals itself. So nobody tells you. Your taste buds are new every 10 to 14 days. The tongue reading this flavour is a fortnight old. Your stomach lining rebuilds every 3 to 5 days. Last week's gut is already gone. Your skin turns over every 4 weeks. You grew a whole new surface this month. Your white blood cells renew in days. Tonight's immune army was not on watch last week. Your red blood cells retire every 120 days. Four months, and the entire fleet is replaced. The fat built into your cell membranes turns over too. Years of stored seed oil can slowly be walked back out. Your liver just gets on with regenerating. It holds no grudge about the bad years. Your skeleton rebuilds over roughly ten years. The bones made in the worst years are not the ones you finish with. Every one of those rebuilds is made from what you feed it. Feed it meat, fat, sunlight and sleep, and it builds you strong. Feed it sugar, seed oil and the sofa, and it builds you soft. The body you will have next year is under construction right now. What you give it today is what it builds you into.
